Sharpkit, needing a mother!

    My name is Sharpkit, I'm a small tom with brown and silver tabby fur. I am only 4 moons old, but my mother died (we lived w/ twolegs near the mountain) and I escaped. I heard about you from loners and want to join, but for now I need a surrogate mother. I am excited to be an apprentice in 2 moons! Thanks!

    Mintcloud saw the kit. "Hi." She said. "What's a little kit like you doing out here? It's snowing, for goodness sake!"

    Sharpkit shrugged. "It's SnowClan, isn't it? Do you know any queens with no kits or a few kits, but that is willing to take in another?"

    "Do I know any!" Mintcloud exclaimed. "I am one! I had three kits, but two died. So I have room for another." She said.

    willowflower a cream she-cat with icet blue eyes approached the two silently.She crouched in the snow and spoke"I couldn't help over hearing this"she said getting up.Her icey gaze flicking from onr cat to the other"I'm willowflower warrior of snowclan"She told them"May I help?" 8)

    Mintcloud looked at her. "I know who you are. We sleep in the same den, for heavens sake!" She turned back to the kit. "I'll bring you back to the nursery."

    She looked at mintcloud and back to the kit"Where do you come from little kit?"she cooed softly

    "My mother and I lived in a Twoleg nest near the mountains. Higher up- it was a lot colder there. It snowed all the time, not just in leafbare. My mother was a mouser for them, so when she died, the Twolegs kicked me out. My mother told me that my father, Ratleap, lived in a Clan nearby, so I came to search for you. I don't need milk anymore, I now how to hunt, though you might see I am rather hungry..." Sharpkit shook out his chocolate and silver fur with embarassment. "Mother always told me that I was going to grow up and be as strong as my father." He turned to Mintcloud, and then Willowflower. Not knowing what else to say and thinking it would be rude to ask to go to camp, he silently followed the two she-cats through the snowy tunnels that he assumed led back to camp.

    she frowned"I'm sorry little one"she said sadly eyes full of sympathy"I hope you feel better and fulfilled soon"she purred :-*

    Mintcloud picked up the kit and carried him the rest of the way to camp, her eyes full of sympathy for him.

    Sharpkit felt the ground under him as they reached a bramble and rock den. He could hear the scrabbling of tiny paws as a kit he assumed was Mintclouds bounced up to her. Sharpkit looked at Willowflower. "Where are your kits?" he asked shyly, not used to so many cats in the same place at once.It had always just been him and his mother.

    Mousekit, a pretty little she-kit who poked just like her mother Mintcloud, looked at Sharpkit. "Hi!" The two moon old kit squealed. "What's your name? I'm Mousekit."


    Mintcloud looked at her kit. "This is Sharpkit. He might be joining the clan." She explained.

    Mousekit nodded excitedly. "Clan life is awesome! You really should be glad your joining!"


    Mintcloud left the two kits in by the nursery and lay down in it.

    Sharpkit looked at Mousekit, a sudden gleam in his yellow-green eyes. "Tag! You're it!" He squealed, tapping the younger kit with his tail and racing off.

    Mousekit laughed and chased after him. She was surprisingly fast, but at first she couldn't catch him.

    Sharpkit skidded to a halt at the sight of a big tom standing right in front of him. He crashed into the tom's chest. "Sorry! Sorry!" He squeaked. The tom glared at him, but walked away and said no more. Sharpkit raced back to the two queens. "Who was THAT??"

    "That was Shadowtalon. He's the clan deputy." Mintcloud explained. Mousekit nodded.
