Mother: Windripple
Dilute Torbie with sea foam green eyes.
Father: Foxclaw
The reference photo is not a full reference.
Foxclaw had NO white patches, but his fur is that shade of ginger, green eyes.

That picture of Windripple is one of a dilute torbie, not a gray or silver tabby. ;)
This is according to the giant list of genetics from Wynn's/Rag's desks:
Red tom x Silver tabby she-cat
Male Kits: Brown tabby, silver tabby,
Female kits: Tortie, silver tortie
I don't know the colors for kits with a blue {gray} tabby she-cat.
A silver tabby is a silver-gray base coat with black markings. A pic of one:
Is it?! 0.o
I always thought when people wrote 'torbie' they were misspelling tortie!
Well, I guess that's good to know!
Thankyou ^^
A "torbie" is a tortoiseshell tabby, just shortened. ;) Check Chris's guide in the Cat Biology and Behavior {I think that's what it's called xD} for more information. :)
I edited it too. <3
Yah, I just figured that out when I googled dilute torbie to find out what you were talking about. ;)
Future reference - I'll keep this info. on the brain. ^^
I think I may need to bump this?
But either way - thanks Celegra!
I'm not sure if those genetics will work for Windripple because of the Dilute in her...
Or about the eye colors.
Green eyes x green eyes are most likely to give you green eyes, maybe yellow or amber occasionally :)
so Windripple is a dilute torbie?
Yah, I figured as much for the green part of that. Wouldn't have guessed the yellow or amber, though. 0.o
But yes, indeed, she is a dilute torbie!
I think two green eyes would also give you a choice of the kits having yellow-green eyes, as well. That happened to me once.
Yah, I can see where that would be likely.
Edit:
Can someone, anyone, PLEASE, help me figure out the genetics for these two cats?
I would really like to get this ball rolling...
:(
Celegra gave genetics above for Red tom x Silver tabby she-cat. If you want genetics for dilute torbie x red tabby that's not on the list, so you'll have to wait for Wynn or Rags.
I've had so many issues with the site that it has set me back a lot on this desk. The desk takes a back seat when the site had technical issues.
Here are colours:
dilute torbie x red tom
female: red, cream, torbie, dilute torbie
male: red, cream, brown tabby, blue tabby
Totally understandable!
Thank you very much!
