  • Drenol sat down and bit into the deer. He only ate a few bites and then stopped. "The deer are coming back!" he said in a whisper. He nudged Crystal into the closest bush. He crawled in after her. The bush was small and Drenol and Crystal were pushed up against each other, but Drenol liked it.

  • Crystal felt Drenol's comforting touch and smiled, something she rarely did. She peered outside the bush, seeing Deer filling the clearing. She gently nudged Drenol's shoulder, indicating that they were in the clearing.

  • Drenol rushed out of the bush. He decided to get the big buck. He ran to it. The buck spun around and kicked him in the chest, sending Drenol flying. He was kicked to a tree and he hit the tree with a thump. He landed on the ground.

  • "Crystal!!" Drenol yelled. The buck was charging right at them. Drenol pulled Crystal out of the way of the stampeding herd, the buck's herd had followed his lead when he charged. The buck went past them and charged again. Drenol clawed at the buck and it fell over. The herd ran away as fast as they could, and Drenol snarled at the buck. It got up and rushed away behind it's herd.

  • "Drenol!" Crystal callled, running toward Drenol in a rush. Her eyes still were flooding over with tears as she nuzzled under his chin. "Oh, thank the great stars above you're okay!" She sobbed, but blushed and moved in embarassement when she noticed what she was doing.

  • Sha sighed, she turned back to face the pack, the emptiness of the woods was starting to make her go insane. She stood up slowly, letting her muscles stretch before shaking out her fur, making it slightly frizzed. She shrugged and hopped off of the rock, deciding to go into the woods, knowing nothing bad would happen if she did. Sha lazily trotted off, away from her pack to see if she could find a kill somewhere in here.

  • "It's okay. I don't mind." Drenol followed Crystal back to the clearing, keping an eye on the trail behind them to make sure the buck didn't come back.

  • Crystal smiled, as she nuzzled Drenol. "I'm happy you're okay, but you still need to see the Healer." She barked sweetly. She'd never been so happy.

  • "What about you? Did the buck hurt you?" Drenol asked, anger flaring up in his eyes at the thought of the buck trampling the wolf he loved most.
