    Kuro stood at the edge of the village. "Rin!" He called and the cat trotted over. "Search the village, here take these to help protect yourself." He made two snakes out of flames and they followed Rin. Rin searched the village and saw the girl and the others. He crouched down and hissed, sensing Jewel Shards. The snakes slowly slithered towards the girl.

    Kiyomi turned around. "Those snakes are going for the girl!" She jumps up and pulls a bell out of her shirt. "Sleeping Bell!!" As she rings the bell, Rin and the snakes fall asleep. *They must be going after the shards!* Kiyomi thinks.

    Kuro impatiently waited, "Rin!" The cat stirred slightly and the snakes vanished, the flames streaking back to Kuro. "Someone's there, probably with shards." He smiled, "I'll just announce my arrival." A big wall of flame shot up around the village and Kuro walked out in front of Kiyome and the others, flames swirling around him, then disappearing.

    :o :o "W-Who was THAT?!" Kiyomi stood infront of the girl, legs shaking with fear. :o :o

    "Who are you?" Kiyomi is still shaking in fright when Saki transforms. Saki roars at Kuro "Roarrrrrrr!"

    Kuro looked at Saki, completely unafraid. "Down kitty." He said in a soothing voice. He turned to Kiyomi and bowed, "The name's Kuro." He picked up Rin's unconcious body, "What have you done to my cat?"

    "I-I put it to sleep." Kiyomi takes a step backwards.

    "What a shame, he's such a good cat. Rin, wake up." He said, flames swirling around the cat. Rin blinked and woke up. He leaped from Kuro's arms and hissed at Kiyomi. "Shush Rin, don't be rude to new people." He said. He turned to Kiyomi, "Why are you backing away, I haven't threatened you."

    "Well I um..... you can n-never be to carefull." Saki walked over to Kiyomi, growling at Kuro.

    "I have no need to bother myself with what appear to be mortals. I just wanted to see what made all this fuss. Jewel Shards, I presume?" He said, waving his hand in a don't jump to coonclusions kind of way.

    Saki spikes up her fur, hissing. "Calm down Saki." Kiyomi nods.

    "No, the bear demon did." Kiyomi replies. Saki hisses and growls. "Saki, it's ok." Kiyomi pets Saki's head to calm her down.

    Rin looked at Saki and mewed.


    Kuro looked at rin, "Seems he's trying to get along. Anyways, a bear demon you say? I myself am a cat. Oh, my full name, it's Kuro Karasu. And you are?"

    "I'm Kiyomi and I'm a half demon. I'm half cat demon, half mortal. And this is Saki, my cat demon." Saki turns back to normal and hops on to Kiyomi's shoulder. "Mew!"

    "I don't know her name but the bear demon almost killed her." Kiyomi pets Saki to make sure she stays calm.
