    " Sure! " A girl stepped up, took a sycthe, and swung it at the target. THUNK! The scythe was just an INCH away from the bulls eye. Other warriors got excited and began to throw.

    "come on you guys! you can do it!" raven cheered

    Raven's team began to throw. They soon got TWENTY points EACH!! But Chrissy wasn't going to give up. She and her team threw knives at the target all at once. PING PING PING! They got twelve points each!

    Raven threw another pin at the target."come on you guys we can do this!" raven said

    The little girl who threw the scythe began to throw darts very confidently. Soon, she, by herself, got thirty more points for the team! The buzzer rang. " RAVEN'S TEAM WINS! Everyone, go to the mess hall for supper. Raven, stay here with me. "

    Raven smiled at the girl."good job." she said.She watched her team go and stood back."yes?" she asked

    " I'm thinking.... Hawk wants a deputy who is skilled in all things, like you. She thinks that someday she will be gone, and people will fight just for power over the ship. Hawk gave each of us a mission to find a person like that. You seem to be it. " Hazel plopped a silver pinecone pin in her hand. " All of us captains, co captains, and staff wear it. Usually, very skilled people wear it. I think you should too. "

    Raven smiled."thank you." she said

    She winked, and disappeared into the mess hall. She snapped her fingers and fried creamy fish appeared on the plates of the winning team. The others got mashed potatoes. Hazel, Hawk, and Piper sat down at the staff table. " Where's Ruby? 'Hazel asked. " Shes out seasick."Hawk replied.

    raven sat with her team."we did good today guys." she said

    Their team cheered.


    Up above, a girl yelled," LAND HO!" Everyone rushed up to the deck and cheered.


    Flora finally sliced open her chains and rushed up to see what the commotion was.

    Raven looked at the land ahead.She smiled."finally." she said

    Hawk hopped onto the sparkling silver sands. " Home,"she sighed. She threw the sand in the air and it shimmered in the dawning light. " Come on guys, lets go! " Everyone trooped over to the trees with camping supplies. The armory group went to buy supplies and restock.

    raven smiled."im gonna go see if they have any herbs in stock." she said

    Ruby heard a bunch of people coming near and cheering. Of course she shouted " land ho ". Ruby leaned over the edge of the boat and made fake puking noises. Of course she and hawk practiced. Ever since Amith's death, she hawk and her friend Artimis have been so close.

    raven walked into the town."so this is the place?" she asked

    Hawk hugged her father, who was dressed in the same attire as here. But instead of the proud fire in his eyes that Hawk had, there was a comforting twinkling in his eyes. They hugged.

    Raven ran up to hawk."what if we see the deans here?" she asked

    " Trust me, the whole village has its defenses a gazillion times stronger than us. The only Dean here is the one we captured, Flora. ' She pointed to the girl with a spear point poking her back.

    Raven nodded."ok." she said and walked into the market area to search for herbs
