Finishing the race

    Firespirit came calmly walking into the warrior's den with a mouse and a vole in her mouth. She placed the vole in front of Hollowsoul and giggled, " I had so much time waiting for you to finish the race, I thought I might get a little dinner for us." she laid down next to him and took a bite out if her mouse, " I got the vole for you for a reason."

    "Thanks,"he purred. He ignored her comment on him being slow and took a bite.
    "This is pretty good,"he mewed."I happen to like vole's."

    " I kinda figured you did." she purred and nuzzled Hollowsoul, " If you switch the first and third letters in 'vole', what do you get?" she mewed sweetly.

    He didn't have to think on this."Love,"he purred. He nuzzled her back affectionately.


    occ~sorry it took me so long my mom said i needed some fresh air ^_^

    Firespirit winced at Hollowsoul's touch, " Ow ow ow ow! Not so hard! my back is still tender." she hissed. She wanted Hollowsoul to be close to her, but, her back still hurt from the fight with that badger.


    OOC- It's fine. My mom's on this whole walking shtick too. ::)

    She purred, " That's better." she reached her head behind her and licked Hollowsoul's cheek and purred louder, " I love you, Hollowsoul." she whispered in his ear.

    "I love you too,"he purred happily. He stopped and looked into her eyes. His own eyes shone with affection and love.

    Firespirit looked deeply into his eye, then she noticed the cut onhis head was bleeding, " Hollowsoul! Your cut, it's bleeding again; hold still." he meowed in alarm. She began to lick his wound clean.

    "It's just a cut,"he mewed. He said that but it stung like the badgers claws where infected or something. His shoulder stung aswell even though the bleeding had stopped.

    " I know, and it's not deep, just bleeding. Besides, even it's not bad, you have to keep it clean. And since you can't reach the top of your head..." Firespirit reasoned.

    "Thanks,"he purred. He turned away and looked back at the half eaten vole. He took another bite but as he leaned down he winced slightly his shoulder continued to sting.

    Firespirit finished cleaning the cut on his head and noticed his shoulder, " Does your shoulder hurt too?" she mewed. She couldn't stop worrying about him, but she didn't want him to be in any pain. She cared about him too much.

    "It stings,"he finally admitted. The pain began to grow worse. He surpressed the pain as best as he could. His teeth tight together.

    Firespirit cmoved the fur around the area Hollowsoul said hurt. As she did she found a thinf piece of the badger's broken claw lodged into his shoulder, "Hold still. . ." she warned. Firespirit grabbed the claw in her teeth and tugged hard.

    He winced as it moved slightly but wouldn't come out."It hurts,"he hissed softly. He could feel it continue to move. He gritted his teeth so hard he thought they'd break.

    Firespirit sighed heavily, " I'm sorry I have to do this." she raised her paw and bared one claw, then placed it slightly above where the badger claw, " So sorry" she repeated and cut a small path in his flesh towards the claw.

    "I'm so sorry," she mewed quietly. After the she cut, she grabbed the claw and quickly pulled it clean out.
