Upon meeting Chase, you would think you'd found a tall, looming, silent guy who's only looking to hurt you. Really he's a nice kid, he just tends to give off a rather irritable vibe. He stands at just over 5'11" and is well built, although he's made more for speed than strength. He has long legs but also a longer torso, so he's evenly built as well. Chase has hair as black as a raven's feathers that falls to just above mid-back, despite the fact that everyone tells him he needs to cut it, but he always refuses. He usually keeps his hair pulled back in a ponytail so it's out of the way. His skin is like that of someone Meditteranean, where it has a slight tan tint to it, especially on the tops of the forearms. Chase has deep, midnight blue eyes that have flecks of different shades of blue in them. He has a rather nasty scar over his throat, caused by an eraser that had attacked him when he was twelve. It is darker in color compared to the rest of his skin, and very easy to see if it's not covered. He is mute because of it.
Typically, Chase will simply wear jeans and a t-shirt, a zip up hoodie, and classic black and white high-top sneakers. He also likes to wear a scarf to cover up the scar on his throat.
Chase's wings are like those of a Peregrine falcon, a very dark blue-gray on the top, almost black, with black speckles. The underside is tan with black speckles. He has a wingspan of nearly 17 feet. The black leopard DNA Chase has has actually affected him in a big way. First of all, he has a tail, although it's fairly easy to hide. He has black leopard spots on his back that trail down to his tail, and his canine teeth are sharper than normal. When he gets angry or irritated, his pupils become slitted like a cat's.
Chase uses his expressions and body language to communicate, and while it's not totally clear what he's trying to convey, it's kind of funny to watch him trying to get his point across.

Over the years, Chase has developed the ability to communicate mentally with others. He can only speak into someone's mind though, and at the moment he's only able to communicate with the members of his Flock, although he usually uses sign language or written word, since it's kind of strange for them to just talk to him in public when it doesn't look like he's saying anything back.
Chase is also able to call upon his Leopard DNA to add enhancements to himself. He can cause his canine teeth to become longer and much sharper, his ears to become like that of a leopard, and his fingernails to elongate, become sharper, and more durable so they can be used for climbing. His leopard spots also spread from his back and up to the back of his neck, to his cheeks, and to the back of his arms.
(I'm planning on his powers advancing to the point where he can fully shift or something along those lines)

Personality:
As mentioned before, when you first meet Chase, he seems rather dark and foreboding, someone you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley. Really though, he's kind and caring and wouldn't hurt a fly...That is, if a flock member isn't in danger. If that happens, that leopard DNA of his kicks in and he could easily lose his temper. You do not want to see Chase when he's angry about something because, depending on the situation, he either becomes cold and secluded or dangerous and willing to get himself hurt to hurt someone else. Chase likes to be around people who really know him well, and not among those who know nothing about him. It gets kind of irritating when people are always asking him if he can even talk. Most don't even try to befriend him because it's too much of a hassle to interact with him. Most of the time Chase is really just a big dork and a kind of a big kid. He is intelligent and does his best in everything he does.

History (optional):
Chase was given his animal DNA when he was only an embryo, and was then put inside his mother. He was born naturally, but was born with his animal features. His mother was told that he'd died, and he was taken to the School, where he grew up and eventually escaped from. He got the scar on his throat from a little spat with an Eraser while he was still at the school. The wound nearly killed him, but he was revived and survived the attack with a scar and a lack of a voice.

For Starters:
Name: Riley
Gender: Dude. (Boy)
Age: 15
Appearance (height, mutant parts, clothes, etc.): Riley is a guy of average height at about 5'8 and 110 lbs. He's very much physically fit, but kind of thin when shown from the profile view. He has short, messy stark black hair and bright blue eyes that betray emotion easily. When mad, the color of his eyes change rapidly from aqua to dark blue, giving the impression of a wavering flame. His pale skin does not necessarily lead to the fact that he doesn't go outside, because he is almost always in the sun, either practicing with his sword or running from Erasers. Riley's teeth are strangely sharp, practically betraying the fact that he's part lynx, along with the lightly pointed ears and long tail that he hides under his shirt. Lucky for the Erasers, he doesn't have claws, but his sword is definitely sharp enough. Riley also has 15 foot black wings that have an oily sheen to them, though he never says anything about them. His normal attire is a dark navy blue tee and black jeans, paired up with black Nike running shoes, though most of the time he goes barefoot. If anyone were to find him in a forest, they would most likely run away screaming. Yeah, he looks that scary. [I DO NOT!] (Yeah, you do)

Personality: Riley is very different than what his appearance would seem. He is really a nice guy with a strong opinion on what's right and wrong, and expresses it vocally and physically. He would very much make a nice friend, but many people seem to avoid him. He also has a short temper on occasion, and never tells anyone his secrets, only harshly reacting whenever people guess right. Aside from those unfortunate quirks- by that I mean unfortunate to those that experience it- he is generally loyal and will defend any friends he would make- if he ever does make one.
Likes: cats, tall places, swords, food, and... well, being alive
Dislikes: bullies, the School, crowds, water, and mean people
History (optional): There really isn't much to say about his life, mostly because he had only escaped a year before. After he had escaped, he was shunned from every town he has been to, people accusing him of being a mutant and a freak of nature whenever someone pissed him off enough to make him use a last resort. He finally settled at this town, keeping a low profile and controlling his temper as much as he could. Luckily, there hasn't been an incident yet.
