"The plan?" It sounded impressive, whatever it was. "Oh, right, the plan." Why did he almost forget it? It had been his idea in the first place.

"Yeah, the plan," Ella said, rolling her eyes. She tensed, still scanning the area. He was probably too far off anyway. "Maybe you should increase the fire, so that he can come to us if he wants," she suggested.

David nodded and piled some wood on the fire. It wasn't green wood, so it didn't make it very smoky. He gathered an armful of fresh grass and poured it on the fire. That had enough water in it, it sent up a steady stream of smoke.

OOC: Their camp is composed of a simple fire pit, with a large bonfire in it. A bit away from that is a shelter composed of boulders for two of the walls, and long sticks for the roof, then covered in reeds. There is a ledge on one edge of their camp, a slope down on another, and a wall of stone on two others.
IC: David walked up to Ella and took some lamb's ear from her, without asking. He rarely did, he wasn't terribly polite. Still, he gave her a kind grin before stuffing the edible plant into his mouth.

David practiced aiming, launching the pebbles at boulders. Of course, he hit every time- what else did he spend his time on in the fields but practice aim? Nothing, that's what. Some richer shepherds got horses, so they spent a good deal of their time learning tricks, but he thought that marksmanship was a more useful hobby, even if he could afford a horse.
