"There are three other vampires here if you wish to go to the trouble of seeking them out. I have something to attend to, so ask a servant if you desire a tour of the facility." With that, he went through a door to the left.
-
She looked around.
-
The maid looked at her. "Do you need help, ma'am?"
-
She nodded, "May you explain to me Henry?"
-
The maid glanced around. "Well, he's one of the vampires from the original Union. Not many of them left now. So he, Mr. Lincoln, and thre other vampires called the trinity came here and started recruiting vampires who seemed restrained and merciful to join their cause. He was a settler at the Roanoke colony, you know. A vampire killed them all, including his wife, except him."
-
She nodded. Wife? She suddenly felt bad for all that this Henry Sturges went through. "How long ago was this?" she asked, trying not to sound too serious.
-
(Is this supposed to be in modern times?)
-
ooc- it's in 1910. Remember that 'Great War' Henry talked about?
ic- The maid looked shocked. "Excuse me, ma'am, but do you not know your history. The Roanoke colony was before America even existed, when them indians were still running around.
-
(Right, sorry. I have read the book and seen the movie, but am terribly tired.)
She looked at her with a hint of rage. "I know what you speak of, and I do know my American history," she hissed with a pinch of irritance.
-
The maid blanched. "Of course. My apologies ma'am," she said quickly.
-
She took a deep breath, "It's fine. The apologies are mine."
-
The maid calmed down and nodded. "Would you like me to show your to your room, ma'am?"
-
"yes please."
-
The maid led her to her room. It was like a five star hotel penthouse.
-
"Wow..."
-
"Yes, miss. All the rooms here are like this one," the maid said somewhat proudly. "Down the hall, three doors to the left, is the ladies washroom. Go stright down the hall to the double doors for the dining hall."
-
Olivia nodded. "Thank you."
-
The maid walked away and returned to the foyer to clean.
-
She looked around. Wonderful.
