• Fae's instincts were in overdrive, her growling uncontrollable as she looked around. The strange scent Tyrone had announced had put her amazement with the skulk's various transformations to an abrupt end. What she could see now were shadows, quick, blurry figures, she could hear their snarls, their whimpering, the surprised yips, the ferocity of battle.
Yet she was frozen in place, her eyes the only part of her that was moving, her brain seemingly fast asleep for however long it took for her to realize that one of the enemy shapes rushing by was heading for the dainty figure of Lae's spirit animal. Fae felt something move inside of her, like an explosion that brought her function back to life. Without realizing it, she bounded forward, her ears pressed against her skull, her eyes fixed and determined as she flew above the ground.

Flew? It was then that Fae decided to look down and a jolt broke through her body, sending her back for a bit, yet she remained in the air, something holding her afloat. She couldn't believe what she was experiencing, she had been running just seconds before! She had expected some sort of notice before her shapes would change, but there had been no crack of bone as her body reshaped, it had come as natural as breathing and Fae was uncertain of whether she should be concerned about that or grateful for it.

One thing she knew for certain, however, was that Lae needed her, the same way Fae had needed her during the badger conflict that seemed to have happened so very long ago. Flapping her wings twice, she ventured forward, soaring high, straightening out her large wings. Even in her changed self, Fae's broad proportions remained. She was carried by the wind until she came right above the doe and the wolf heading right for her throat.

Folding her wings, the wedged-tailed eagle, former fox, charged downwards, the ground getting closer and closer with every rapidly passing second. She opened her wings in time to avoid a clash with undisturbed naturalness and a shriek escaped her throat as her talons pushed forward, aiming towards the flank of the attacking wolf, her purpose to tumble the carnivore before he managed to reach its target.

Alpha launched himself on a badger and bit hard on the creature's tail. The stripe dog let out a vicious growl and clawed at his maw savagely. The Alpha wolf released his hold and kicked the badger away. He needed to kill something soon. Despite his pack's champion fighting skills, those diverse animals were tough. Not a single one had been killed yet. Darn it! Still, more of those enduring pests were getting seriously injured. It would only be a matter of time. Alpha's eyes darted here and there to select his ext victim. That was when he spotted that annoying owl. He began a charge for the bird. It was too preoccupied trying to slash his Beta to notice him. When he was within striking range, he leaped at the owl.

Virrizin was still trying to score a decent slash on Roxanne's eyes when she suddenly felt the wind knock out of her. Her vision blurred from the fluffy pelt of the beta wolf to he muddy brown of the ground. She felt a heavy weight on her body and craned her neck to see a huge male wolf upon her. She let out a pained screech, a screech that pierced even her attacker's ears, as the wolf plunged his jaws into her wing. She felt a jolt of pain rush through her. Instinctively, Virrizin began clawing at the wolf's maw, particularly at his open wounds. She forced her body to swing forwards and jabbed hard into the sides of Alpha's eyes. It was then that the wolf jerked her up in the air and threw her away. She heard him let out an enraged growl as she was hurled away.

She crashed into the ground, dirt and dust covering her bloody wing in a murky hue. The Spade got up shakily. Her body now ached terribly. But the wolves were still here and she hadn't died yet. This meant she still had to fight some more. It pained her to take to the skies, but flying was her only advantage against these beasts so bigger than her. She let out a groan as she took off. It was agonizing every time she moved her wing. It was bleeding, it was lacerated, maybe even fractured a bit. Still, the Spade dove down to assist Zane. More and more wolves were piling up against him. As for Lae, thank goodnes Fae was finally attacking. On a side note, Fae was actually more skilled in fighting than she was. Huh. That wasn't surprising. "Zane!" Virrizin screeched, her sentence cut short by a bloody cough that erupted from her beak. "I'll distract these Omegas! Take the Alpha down!"

Tyrone had happened to glance through the fray to see Fae change from a beautiful vixen into an almost equally beautiful bird of prey. Watched as she scored her claws against a large wolf's flank. Though he worried greatly for her safety, there was not much he could do at the moment, for he was ripping at the throat of one wolf, and another wolf was ripping into his haunches. He dropped the wolf whose throat was now bleeding badly and whirled around to attack the one doing damage to him.

Trixy bared her teeth at a wolf that had somehow made its way into the den. The wolf growled at her and bared her teeth at Trixy, and the weasel/fox knew that she didnt stand a chance against her, but that she would fight to the death to guard her helpless pups. She jumped at the wolf's throat

Ricardo the beta yelped in pain and shock as he felt talons score through his flank. He looked back to see a large bird of prey attacking him, he snarled furiously as he whirled around, leaping to bite down on the birds wing

  • Seeing Virrizin come to her aid infuriated her only further. She could handle herself! Ears flicking as her hooves stomped the ground in a rhythmic pattern as her eyes were ablaze with anger charged at the beta and Virrizin with it. Lae wasn't going to sit around and do nothing. Feeling her slender limbs extend and contract could tell she could take strides that were never possible before.

  • From somewhere not too far off, a screech could be heard. It chilled Fae to the bone, for she recognized the wail to be that of Virrizin. A fraction of second was all it took for the female to lose concentration and switch her focus and it took just as little for the wolf to react.
Fae felt teeth snapping together, something wet and heard a small crack. Her beak opened and she let out a piercing sound as she felt pain swoop through her. Turning her attention back to the task at hand, Fae realized what was happening - she was being pulled by her wing, the culprit the same wolf she had attacked. Fae knew not what she felt - fear for she might find herself stranded and unable to provide help to anyone else, anger because she was cut off from Virrizin who was clearly experiencing trouble, concern for Tyrone, dread for his sister and her young - all of those mixed up in her chest in a confusing enough manner to send her brain spinning.

Her head dropped forward, her beak aiming at the wolf's eyes, although she seemed less eager to harm him as the initial adrenaline rush was beginning to die down, at least for the moment to make way to a more bothersome emotional whirl. Her wing did not hurt specifically much and with a jolt, she released it from the grip of ferocious fangs. Feathers flew into the air as she started flapping almost instantly. Lae herself seemed reinvigorated and the vixen's spirit, even in that delicate shape, was finally becoming visible.

The eagle swirled above the wolf again, but while she put the safety distance between them, her eyes started searching - she noticed Virrizin further down, aiding Zane and Tyrone fighting off two wolves. She could not see Trixy. And she was torn between searching for her and standing her ground at Lae's side until the beta wolf had backed down, which didn't seem likely to happen very soon, considering the wolf's determination.

  • Zanë.

    Lord of FÖX.

(I've been swamped! ;A; lolz jk XD) -Snapping his head up towards the sound of Virrizin's screaching call, Zanë gave a reluctant nod. Things were starting to go nowhere real fast and which each side having a real chance at winning. He knew that he had to attack and potentially kill the alpha if they were to stand a chance. Looking over his shoulder he was glad to see that the wolves were no longer pursuing Lae but at the same time Tyrone was struggling by the flower's den, he had to move fast and he knew it. Shoving roughly past two omegas in his way he called up to Virrizin while charging at Alpha- Alright. But be careful! -He cringed inwardly as blood dripped from her wing and battered body- No...no. Not now.... -Scolding himself he pushed away his phobia so that he may focus upon his target. Emitting an ear splitting yowl Zanë flung himself at Alpha, claws extended and fangs bared-

  • Roxanne.

    Beta female.

-Sinking her fangs deep into the flesh of a squirrel who had managed to scamper onto her back she chuckled as it screeched wildly just before tossing it away. Perking her ears at the sound of another hurt animal she looked just in time to see her alpha toss away a snowy white bird but not without seeing a fairly large nick in his ear. All throught her attacking that bird seemed to be the one helping to call the shots and provide extra assistance where they could not. Someone needed to take her down but for now an angry doe was charging her way. Licking the scarlet liquid away from her maw her lips upturned into a malicious grin- So you wanna play? -Steading herself she awaited the perfect oppertunity to attack. Roxanne had taken down many deer before, and this one would prove to be no different-

  •

He felt a deep pain suddenly shoot across his right flank. Spinning around, Alpha met the steely cold gaze of the cougar. The feline's hardened gaze made Alpha freeze for a moment. But adrenaline kicked in and the wolf leader quickly recovered to dodge the cougar's deadly swipe. He hobbled back a few steps. His right flank now bore a big gash from the cougar's sharp fangs. He took in his enemy's scent, surprised to catch not cougar but fox scent. Judging from the distinctive rises and mixtures in it, this was the leader. "Hmph, no matter." he growled menacingly. His hackles rose as he ripped out a snarl of his own. "Once I take you down, I'll rip that feather-brain that nicked my ear." Of course, he was talking about none other than Virrizin.

As Zane's body blurred towards the Alpha wolf, Virrizin intercepted a young wolf that tried to chase him. She swung at him with her talons, earning a direct hit on her opponent's eyes. The wolf let out a wail and clumsily tried to swipe at her. She had blinded him. She began to peck at him. Hard. At the same time, she batted off the two other wolves that had dragged Zane down. She dodged, swiped, lunged, drew back. This was getting hard. Three wolves against one owl, everyone knew what the outcome would be. Yet the Spade carried on. She let out as fierce a screech as she could, given her current condition, and sliced at a female wolf's jowl. She held back a scream when one wolf managed to grab her by her injured wing. If she didn't react fast, she'd be pinned down.

"Let......go!!" she screeched, biting down hard on said wolf's nose. She ripped a chunk of it right off, causing the wolf to release her. Virrizin panted heavily as she kept an unsteady position in the air. Her whole body was quivering from the blows. Even in her new form, the Spade still wasn't as enduring as the others. This battle had to end soon.

~Out of nowhere, I jumped out of a bush as a rat. I could see a wolf at a flower's den and a ferret hanging from the neck. I recognized that face from anywhere. It was Trixy, one of my good friends. Towards the den I ran, ready to attack anything that got in her little paws' way. Feeling little fur on both sides of me was a very good relief to me. Knowing those little balls of fur were my little ones, I knew that I could watch them easier.~

    Anatomy
~Through the bushes I went and a sudden pause beside my mother. Feeling my mother's warmth but feeling her heart beat fast worried me. I could tell that something was truly wrong now. Not only was my mom's heart beating like a hurricane, but she was a rat. Just a minuet ago we were still foxes. I realized I was a mouse and wondered why. When I saw my mom run towards a flower den, I charged right after her. I caught up easily, even though she was a rat and I was a mouse. ~

~I jumped through some bushes, wondering what we were running to. I then realized that both my mother and sister were different animals. One a rat and the other a mouse. What in the world....,I thought as I looked at them. Thats when I looked at my paws and realized it. I was a rabbit. I wondered how that was possible but hopped up beside my mother. I wondered what she was looking at and knew she was worried. I saw what she was looking at and ran right when she did.~

    Lord of FÖX.

(Oh I forgot to tell you that the pups do not recieve their spirit animals until they have become students of föx/apprentices. So they would still be normal in appearance. Unless they're older than five months) -Yowling furiously Zanë produced bone crushing blows towards a couple of wolves that dared to land upon him while Virrizin delt wuth another pair. Heart aching the cougar went wide eyed as one of Alpha's pack members managed to snag his Spade's wing once again. But was greatly relieved to see her free and hoovering above them. Zanë hissed impaitently and threateningly at Alpha's comment while begining to circle him- Just try it, and I will maul you so bad not even the crows will have anything to pick off of you pathetic body. -Eyes narrowing and tail lashing like angered snake Zanë rushed towards his opponant once again, preparing to do some heavy damage-

  • Sunflash launched herself at the nearest wolf, her intent clear to protect her family. Her claws raked across the flank of her opponent and it went down howling in pain. When it whirled its great head toward her, its green eyes widened in surprise to see that, instead, a Blue Jay stood in the fox's place.
The wolf raised its paw to flatten the pesky bird, but instead cried out when the bird slammed into its face, sharp, nimble talons scratching its eyes and muzzle.
"And stay out!" Sunflash yelled after it as it raced away, tail tucked between its legs.

~I jumped into the air, landing on a wolf's back and grabbing its ear tightly. Her light jaws kept a very strong grip on his coat as she listened to his whining and yelping. I liked that sound, the sound of the enemy in pain. I wanted to protect my homeland no matter what would happen. I also wanted to protect my little pups as well. I knew that they were going to help me deffeat the enemies, but they might not do as much damage.~

    Anatomy
~ I watched as my mother scrambled to the wolfs back and grabbed him. I knew I had to help so I chaarged towards the wolf. I climbed up his thin leg and went up,attaching myself to his ear. I had my tiny jaws clamped around his ear with no letting go. I wanted to make sure my mother would stay safe and not get hurt herslef. I also needed to help protect the land I was born in. ~

~I saw my sister go up with my mom and attach themselves to the wolf. Since I was a rabbit,I couldn't do much. But I knew that they both were in trouble and needed help. My first instinct would be to climb up and help my mom with the back or sister with the ear. But this time,I went for the paws. I knew that if I could throw the wolf off balance,we would have more of an advantage against it. So I hopped as fast as my little bunny legs could carry me straight towards its back leg. I launched myself right at him and gripped his ankle in my jaws. As I did that, the wolf's yelps got louder and off balance began.~

  • Analyzing was curious as to how far she could push herself. Lae was charging straight for the female beta but a couple feet before the actual wolf lept over her gracefully, stopped and tensed her back leg muscles to land a large blow with her back legs in the beta's side, hoping to catch her off guard before Lae could be swiped.

  • Roxanne.

    Beta female.

-Caught off guard, Roxanne watched as the doe sailed over her head only to land on the opposite side of her. She was preparing to whip around when she felt razor sharp hooves slice into her flank and continue up to stop along the length of her spine, leaving a deep gash in her leg. A cry of agony exploded from her maw as the force of the impact ultimately tossed her backwards, but before she could go flying she aimed a bonecrushing grip at one of Lae's hind legs whe they where still in mid air. If this worked then she too would fall over, giving her a slight advantage-

  • As cruel as it was, Lae was expecting this but couldn't do anything about it except feel herself be flung to the side and land there. A yelp of pain escaped her small snout as her front hoof twisted from the sudden jerk. She wasn't sure if she could walk on it, but she could try. Stumbling to her legs half frantic felt pain slice up her front but tried to ignore it as she put a brave front for the beta wolf who, by nature, could kill her if she didn't run. Lae wasn't a runner, nor a quitter, so she stayed put eyeing the wolf cautiously and never turning her back as her front hoof was most likely severely sprained or broken.

  •

Alpha merely cackled at the cougar's threat. "I'd like to see you try. Though by the time I'm done with you, or if you really do manage to somehow find a way to defeat me, my pack may have already finished her." the wolf taunted, pointing with his muzzle the wolves that were closing in on the Spade. "Now show me what you got, cougar!" Alpha lunged at the leader in startling speed, even for a wolf. His sharp fangs glinted under the spirit lights. The Alpha was aiming for Zane's shoulder. He'd fracture the bone and render this threat less advantageous.

It was really a miracle that Virrizin managed to scare off a couple of the wolves away. She watched as the flea-bitten nuisances dashed away with their tails between their legs, their bodies adorned with the many little nicks and gashes she gave them. The Spade, however, couldn't celebrate yet. She still had one more wolf to face. This muscular male was more endearing than the other two, and was more agile than she thought. He barely had a scratch on his pelt. She, on the other hand, was already numb from the bite marks he gave both her wings. "Gotta......gotta keep....fighting. Can't let the sulk down. Can't let.....Zane down.." Virrzin panted. Keeping afloat in the air was like trying to hold one's breath underwater for an hour. It was unbearable. Her eyes focused on this young wolf. He knew that she was weakening. She could see the triumph shining in his eyes.

It was to be predicted that the youngster would leap at her. His jaws clamped shut on her leg. Virrizin let out a scream and could barely resist as she got plunged to the ground. The wind was knocked out of her body as the wolf slammed her to the hard dirt. She heard her good wing crack. He had broken her good wing! Virrizin was helpless as the wolf began thrashing her about in the air like a ragdoll. Her bitten leg had already numbed from the pain and all the Spade could feel was the pain in her wings. After what seemed like hours passed by, her assailant assumed her to be dead and threw her at a nearby tree. She silently groaned when her body collided with the hard wood. Blood stained the brown bark as Virrizin slumped down by its roots. She was still alive. But was in so much pain. She managed to keep an eye open and felt satisfaction upon seeing that same wolf be blinded by a couple of squirrel Aces.

"T-That'll teach you..." she whispered painfully.

  • Sunflash fought on, a mere blur of blue and white feathers, and she chirped in glory. "Take this, mange-pelts!" she cursed at one wolf, stabbing its flank with a sharp piece of bark. "Make sure you don't come back!"
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a white owl be hurled toward a tree and lay motionless. She gasped when she recognized it as one of her own, and she flew, head-on- toward the wolf that did it. "Murderer!" she screeched as she slammed into its face, talons digging into its muzzle and beak pecking at its eyes.
