Era ran out of class, and straight out of the building. The cold air stung her tear-stained face, all she knew was that she couldn't stay...

John felt bad for her, as he watched her run out, and he sighed slightly, hanging his head as he walked out of class.
-
Era looked around with wide, cold eyes. Her pale hands shook slightly, the world spun
-
John pushed through the mismatched crowd of teenagers, and found his way out of the building.
-
The wind ruffled Era's hair and stung her eyes like the tears. She was still and silent, looking at the sky
-
He squinted his eyes slightly as the wind rushed into them, making them water slightly, and he shook his head to clear them.
-
Era, oblivious to him, leant against the cool wall, eyes closing and the darkness covering her hideous thoughts
-
John glanced over, and he saw Era, he re-shouldered his pack, and continued walking.
-
Era heard soft footsteps and swiveled around, seeing John the breath caught in her throat
-
He took a quick glance back at her "I'm sorry." He said softly.
-
Era felt her throat tighten, "For what?" She choked out, blinking back the tears
-
"I didn't mean to upset you, I was trying to give you a little comfort." John said, chewing on the inside of his cheek slightly.
-
"Sorry." Era whispered, hiding her face with her hair and staring at the ground
-
"You don't have to say sorry." He said.
-
"Yes I do." Era whispered, breath slow
-
"No you don't, I spoke badly, not you." He said.
-
Era let the tears drip softly onto the grass, head bowed, "I can't go back in there."
-
"Can I do anything to help?" He asked.
-
"Tell no-one." Era begged, looking up at him wide wide, watery eyes
-
He nodded "I swear that I won't tell a soul."
