Yiet munched into his deer and spoke with his mouth full. "Bahbur? Too vaya 'un?" His sister, Barbuna, wrinkled her nose at him. She continued licking her three strong pups. One was Ewacta, named after Barbuna's grandmother, one was Euna, named after Barbuna's sister, and the last one was Yilet, named after Yiet. Ewacta and Euna were like peas in a pod, but Barbuna couldn't figure out what was wrong with Yilot - he was like a pod with a single pea in it.
Barbuna was a cream-colored wolf with a green stare. She was an orphan - she'd been an orphan for five years now. Her brother, Yiet, was a grey-black wolf with a grey stare. He was born into the same litter as her, and their sister...well, she was dead. Barbuna and Euna, her sister, had been like the pups Ewacta and Euna. And Yiet...he was like a pod with a single pea in it, always happy by himself. Barbuna thought it odd that her pups were the same.
Yiet swallowed. "Barbuna? You wanna hunt?" he offered. Anything, anything to get her away from her mate. Soon, Barbuna would try to start a pack with her mate as alpha male. She'd be alpha female. And Yiet didn't want to allow that.
