  • Amanda groomed her light cream fur in the middle of an alley, her icy blue eyes sparkling. She perked her ears as she heard claws scrape the concrete floor. Thinking she imagined it, she continued grooming herself. Amanda yelped as a shadow flew through the air and knocked her over, pining her down. Her head klunked against the hard flooring as she looked around with wild, scared eyes. "Help!" She let out a blood-curtiling scream as the tom pinning her down crouched down on her.

  • Torrak, a dark brown tabby with milky white flecks and ear tips with pure black paws, padded around. He was a born stray, the only survivor of his litter, all his brother's and sister's had died some horible way or found twolegs to live with, all except two, the youngest, twins Dusk and Twilight, his sisters. He heard the cry for help and raced to the alley, sliding in, his razor sharp claws unsheathing. He lunged at the tom on top of the she-cat, bowling him over and pinning him, Torrak's claws digging deep into the other tom's shoulders and drawing a good amount of blood.

  • Torrak held him fast, his strong muscles preventing the cat from over powering him for the moment. He leaned down and snarled in his foes ear, "I'll let you up and you run away and the next time I see you near this young lady, I will tear your throat out. Clear?"

  • The Tom snarled, clearly upset at his loss, "But she is so beautiful...." But one look at his enemies eyes had him whimpering, "Clear, Clear!"

  • Torrak leapt back, placing himself firmly between Amanda and the tom.
"Scram!" he snarled, his fangs gleaming dangerously, his eyes wild and cold.

  • The Tom bolted faster than a jackrabbit, his claws gripping at the concrete, propelling him even faster down the alley, around the corner and out of sight.

Amanda shrunk back away from Torrak, "Don't hurt me," She whimpered.

  • Torrak looked back over his shoulder at her and smiled warmly, his eyes softening as well as his voice, a deep bass.
"I woul'nae dream of hurtin' yer lassie." he said before turning and padding off down the alley. He halted at the other end and looked back over his shoulder again.
    "Are yer comin'?" he asked.

  • "Our den of course." he scoffed, referring to the abandoned house where he and his two twin little sister's lived.

  • Amanda made a face and went around the muddied puddle. She raised get paws high, desperately trying to avoid the dirty ground after her neatly groomed paws.

  • She snarled suddenly, "Okay, one, I am NOT a kid, two, I have never and will never live in a two leg nest, and three, I haven't agreed to staying here. I will leave whenever I want." She finished, her chin held high as she walked. With her head tilted towards the sky, she didn't see the huge puddle in front of her, and fell into it, the thick mud covering her head to two with a "Ah!"

  • "Feel free to find your own way home kid." Torrak said, continuing on, mocing throguh another huge puddle without leaving a ripple behind.

  • She grumbled and continued to follow him. She could tell that it was going to rain soon and the last thing she wanted to do was get stuck in freezing rain, possibly hail, covered in mud, so she followed him. Just for the night, she assured herself. She nearly hated this Tom, even after he save her life, for the way he. Acted towards her. But, she owed him, and she had to. Stay until she paid him back for his good work, because that's the way she was raised,

  • They reached an old abandoned house. Two brownish black she-cats with sapphire blue eyes were lying on the porch. They were the exact same size.
