  • Character Name: Pine

    Character Age: 6 Moons

    Gender: Tom

    Alliance: Loner

    Rank: None

Appearance (6 or more sentences): Pine is a dark brown tom with light green eyes and a short, smooth tail. His fur is short all over, giving him the advantage of being slightly lighter than other cats with longer fur. His ears are pointed at the tips and always angled forward, alert for any possible enemies or prey, and his claws are longer than usual for his age, perfectly sharpened and ready to attack. He has long, deep scars down his shoulder and flank from a fox attack in his early kit-hood, which he doesn't like showing off to anyone. He is strong and muscular, getting it from his constant exercising and tree climbing, and his muzzle is slightly flat compared to other cats pointed muzzles.

Personality (6 or more sentences--these sentences form their own section and do NOT count towards the 4 groups below. Those are additional requirements): Pine is slightly cold towards other cats, but can have fun with them if he knows they understand him. His past was rough and his present isn't much better, and some cats he meets while traveling don't seem to care about it. They talk about all the fun they had as kits, living a happy life with they're family, and then when they wake up the next morning they find Pine gone. Yes, this tom doesn't stay in one place for long, he loves to keep moving, finding new adventure away from where he stands now. He will get emotional if his past is mentioned, making it slightly harder for him to make friends.
---Likes (at least 3): Running, climbing, his memories, the moon and stars.
--- Dislikes (at least 3): Apathetic cats, talking about his past, and foxes.
---Strengths (No MORE than 5): Good at Climbing, swimming, running, and fighting.
---Weaknesses (At least 3): Bad at Hunting, socializing, and sharing dens and places with other cats.

History (8 or more sentences): "C'mon, Pine!" A voice called, reaching Pine's tired ears. "Mom says we can go outside! And there's snow, tons of it!" Pine opened his eyes to see his brother, Oak, and sister, Maple. He had always asked his parents, "Why are we all named after Trees?" His mother, Song, would purr and say, "Because trees are strong and beautiful, like all of you." Pine leaped out of the den in the white, sparkling forest, landing straight in a drift that went over his head. "Haha!" Oak laughed, padding over. "Need some help, Pine?" "No, no, I got it!" Pine yowled from under the snow, shooting out from it's icy depths in a instant. Maple stepped out behind them, looking around with wide amber eyes. "It's so pretty! The way it reflects the sunlight and makes everything sparkle..." "Nevermind that!" Oak yowled, kicking snow at his sister. "It's time for a snow fight!" Maple shook the snow off, her teeth clenched for a moment before she let out a growl. Pine quickly stepped in. "Don't worry, Maple. I'll get him!" He laughed, kicking a pawful of snow at his brother. In only a few moments were the brothers going at it, spraying snow all over the place. "Hey!" Maple hissed as some stray snow hit her muzzle. "Stop it!" The brothers kept at it, not hearing her over the constant snow shower "Stop!" Oak fell over, panting. "I won!" He yowled triumphantly. "No way!" Pine retorted, lashing his tail. "I won!" "You both won." Their mother stepped from the den with a worried look in her gaze. "You need to come inside now, I have to go." "Go? Go where?" Maple asked, tilting her head. "Your father went to go find some foxes he said he'd seen prowling around, and while he's doing that, I'm going to hunt. Now, you three, don't leave the den. Understood?" "Yes, mom." The three mewed.

    ***

"Where is she?" Maple asked, after hours of waiting in the small, quiet den. The sun was about to go down, making the temperature drop outside. "You don't think the foxes got them, do you?" Maple whispered, her eyes wide. "Of course not!" Oak retorted. "Dad is strong, he could take on three foxes!" "What about mom?" Pine soft voice was shaky. "Mom is gentle, like a leaf. She couldn't take on savage beasts like that." Maple and Oak said nothing, but just stared at him wide-eyed. "Well," Pine mewed. "I'm going out to look for her." "Wait!" Maple gasped. "Mom said to--" "Mom might be dead!" He hissed, shaking bits of moss from his pelt. "I'M not just gonna sit here and wait for cats who may never be coming back. I'm gonna find her." He stalked out of the den, breaking into a run on the cold, snowy ground. Within moments, his siblings were beside him, keeping pace with his quick paws. "You're right." Oak mewed. "We do need to find her." They ran for a long while, searching for any signs of their mother. "Let's rest, please!" Maple gasped, sitting down in a snowy clearing. "Okay, fine, but not for long! We still have to find mom." Pine hissed, looking around the clearing. There were bushes surround it, and tall, dark trees beyond. How far had they come? A soft rustle could be heard nearby, jerking Pine to it's attention. "Did you hear that?" Pine asked his brother, looking over his shoulder. "Hear what?" Oak asked him, looking up from his paws. Another rustle, louder this time, sounded. "Mom!" Maple yowled, dashing towards the bushes. Cold fear rose up within Pine, making him stand. "Wait! Maple--!" A scream cut him off. "Maple!" He wailed, dashing towards the bushes. A large, hungry fox stood before her, about to attack with it's dark, sharp claws. "Fight someone your own size!" He snarled, leaping onto the foxes back and clawing with all his might. The fox let out a cry, but simply snapped his jaws onto Pine's descending fore-paw. He screamed, clenching his teeth before the fox knocked him off of it's back with ease. He flew across the clearing, his muscles tense and mind racing. He landed with a loud thud at the other end of the clearing, knocking the wind from the small tom. Pine opened his eyes just in time to see Maple leaping at the fox. "No! Maple--!" He screeched as the fox's fangs came down on her throat. He stood up shakily, feeling slightly light-headed after his fall. "You'll pay for that, you rat!" He screamed, lunging at the fox again, his claws extended. The fox whipped around, his fangs and claws heading straight for him in an instant. No! He thought for a split second before all he felt was pain and everything went dark.

*** Pine woke up slowly, aching everywhere. "M...Maple.... Oak..." He murmured, his wounds feeling as if they were on fire. There was a small pool of blood underneath him, where the deep wounds on his side and shoulder had bled. His eyes snapped open, and he let out a soft cry, seeing Oak laying only fox-lengths away, and Maple at the other end of the clearing. He stood to his paws, falling down a few times before he dragged himself over to Oak's side. "Oak! Oak! You have to wake up! The fox got--" He stared with horror at his brother. "Maple..." Oak was dead, his eyes were glazed over and sightless in death. He looked up to the sky, his eyes starting to moisten with the beginning of a tear. "Why?!" He screamed, his desperate voice echoing through the forest. "Why did you do this to us?!" He looked over at his sister, Maple. Was it possible that by some miraculous miracle she survived? He dragged himself to her side, his eyes streaming tears. Sure enough, the maple-brown she-kit was dead. He let sobs rack his injured body for a few moments, speaking quietly to himself. "This is... All my fault...." He sobbed, clawing the ground in front of him. "I was the one who made them leave the den... Why can't I be dead instead?" He stood up, wincing as his shoulder wound began to bleed again. "I guess it's time to start over..." He whispered, going through the bushes and into the dark forest beyond.

  • Hi I am Freestyle! This bio is looking great but before I can approve it, could you lengthen your sentences? They seem a but choppy :)

  • Much better! Approved!

  • Thank you. ;D

Yeah, At first I was gonna name him Shadow, so I put in his history that he was named Pine when he was a kit, and forgot to edit it out when I changed him back to Pine again. xP Oops.
