Windstar the II was quick to reach the tall grass that was near the ShadowClan border. A grin still on his face, he stoppe, listening for any mice or rabbits. Parting his jaws slightly, he tasted the air. 'Mouse, to my right,' he thought instantly, dropping into a hunter's crouch. Within a matter of seconds, he had caught the first mouse. 'yay!' he cheered inwardly. He glanced back at his new friends, wondering who'd catch more.

Splashingstream raced after him and thought as well, "I wonder if I can beat him!"
OOC: Yey! Now she has friends in WindClan, Windstar (II), Soulfire, Twinkletail, Arabianheart...ect.

-
Windstar grinned as he tracked down a rabbit, stalking through the grass. It took him a while t find one, and when he did, he darted after it, but as he was about to punce on it, he slipped and fel on his nose. Windstar sneezed, startling the rabbit so that it hopped away. "Mousedung!" he spat quietly, turning to look at his new friends, feeling slightly embaressed.
-
"Tough luck!" Splashingstream meowed teasingly. "It's okay! I swear those rabbits laugh at us when we don't catch them!" She quickly caught a thrush and offered some to him. "Wanna share? I never did get breakfast."
-
Twinkletail came over with a rabbit in her jaws "I gof the biggefs cath in the bunth!" She said thru the rabbit. she laid it down"I thoght we weren't aroud to have prey, the clan comes first the warrior code says so!" she said then her stomach growled"but we can let it slide this time!"she said putting her rabbit beside them and offering it to windstar the II first.
-
Windstar the II blinked in surprise. These cats were willing to break the warrior code? He shuffled his paws uneasily, looking down at his feet, "But if someone finds out..." he mumbled mroe to himself than anyone. He had been raised by the Clan, yes, but his father had taken care of him for a long while, considering his mother was unknown to anyone in WindClan, and since his father was a medicine cat, Windstar the II had been taught not to disobey the warrior code or there would be punishment.
Digging his claws into the earth, he looked back up at Twinkletail, his amber eyes full of uncertainity, "Well...alright, I guess we could eat...alright," he finally said. Saying a quick "Thanks," he took off a bite of the rabbit.
-
"I thought we were aloud?" Splashingstream questioned her own statement uneasily...
-
Arabianheart looked at the others questionably, then repeied slowly, "no, we must wait until we get back to camp, the clan always comes first." Her own belly growled, but she respected the warrior code to much to break this simple rule, she planted her feet frimly on the ground and lock ed her jaw, she was determined not to eat anything until she got back to camp.
The prey scent was way to tempting for her to stay here any longer she turned around and stalked off into the tall grass, hardly making a sound. She crept along the ground, her belly fur just touching the ground. The grasses twitched, she carefully walked forward, and parted the grass with a paw. She reveald a rabbit. She let the grasses go and the, WHAM! She pounced on it. She swiftly killed it with on bit and gathered it up in her jaws. She brought it back to the others.
-
Windstar swallowed the bite of rabbit, but even as he did, he felt a sudden sickness in the pit of his belly. He had disobeyed the warrior code...disobeyed his father-what if one of the others told on them? What would they have to face. He backed away from the rabbit, his neck fur suddenly pricking up as he felt a cold wind sweep over him.
For a moment, he saw the image of his father, his face disappointed. and then it was gone, leaving Windstar in his own thoughts about what he had just done.
-
"I'm Sorry!!" Splashingstream wailed helplessly. "I didn't mean too! It's just that I became confused! There's so many rules, and I was so hungry......." Tears welled up in her eyes and she raced off to finish her hunting alone. All she could think about were her clan's disappointed faces as they looked down upon her. What would they think when they found out? She was a new warrior now, surely she should have learned that. "What would mother think?" She whispered horsely, when she was well away from the others. Even though her mother was in the ranks of StarClan, Splashingstream always tried to imagine what she was like.
Splashingstream pounced on a rabbit just then, and began hunting for the clan.....alone. -
Twinkletail looked at Windstar the II and pushed against him " Hey, this ain't nothin' new! I'll wait for you at,...that stump"- she flicked her tail to the stump-"at sundown. Okay?" she said and raced off to find Splashingstream
twinkletail walked over to Splashingstream and pushed against her "lets talk" she purred and sat down.
-
Spashingstream jumped as she heard Twinkletail emerge from the grass. She had been thinking hard. "You want to talk to me?" She asked questionably.
-
Windstar the II blinked, watching the two cats. He understood Splashingstream. He knew what it felt like to have disappointed someone...he'd already done it. Nodding absently t Twinkletail, he turned around and walked off through the grass, leaving the rabbit. He would meet her there that night, but he wondered how he wuld be feeling. Would his Clan mates tell Silverstar?
He shuttered at the thought, his tail dragging across the grass. Looking up at the sky, he saw the clouds covering the sun. "Windstar..." he whispered, "I'm sorry..."
"That's okay," Windstar, his father's voice, filled his mind.
Windstar the II jumped at the response and whirled around, looking at the other cats. No one had spoken, he could see it.
-
Meanwhile, Splashingstream and Twinkletail were talking in the grasses,"Is Windstar that mad at me?" She asked Twinkletail hesitantly. "I really like him, and if he's mad...." She finished with a shudder. She had just made friends, what if she lost them all?
-
Twinkletail licked her tail "Well...Windstar ins't MAD per se...just shocked and disapointed" she said licking her paw and brushing it over her ear "He wants friends as much as you, and me. But that's ok. I've been in the clan for only a little bit, but I know the Warrior code and I'm sorry that I forgot about them in my hunger" She stretched her legs, first the left then the right. She yawned then FINALLY laid down "I like him too, and I need to tell you something...
`no` she heard her fathers voice " I'm not born into the clan" she sighed, her eyes glistened "my mother was a kittypet and my father was a rouge named Scarface. He was in this clan before he was exiled for loveing a kittypet and i've tried to forget this and i still hear my fathers vioce in my head, encurageing, scoulding. -
"Tell who something?" Arabianheart walked out of the tall grasses carrying a rabbit, some crows, and a mouse. She dropped them on the ground and looked at Twinkletail.
-
"Me..." Splashingstream looked up, surprised for a moment, then continued what she was going to say. "I didn't mean to......" She licked Twinkletail's flank in a comforting move.
-
"Okay so what is it you want to tell Holybranch Twinkletail? I'm listening," she purred slightly and laided down, her keen eyes resting on Twinkletail.
-
"I just told Twinkletail that I was sorry and asked if Windstar was really mad..." She hesitated and then continued on, "Twinkletail told me that she wan't clan born too.." She left her sentence unfinished and looked at Twinkletail for the rest of the story. The odd thing was though, that when she said Windstar, her eyes would fade for a second. It seemed like she really didn't mean any harm, and that she just forgot about that part of the warrior code.
-
Twinkletail retold the story, it was painful, but she even mentioned this time that her father had killed her best freind when they were only 6 moons "i've hateded my past and it still hurts to talk about it" she meowed
