  • Basilripple padded at the front of the patrol, carefully checking the area for any scent markers. The Riverclan warrior knew that they had to be getting close to the Storm Tribe's territory... that is, as long as they had travelled in the right direction.

Finally the scent washed over Basilripple, and she stopped. This had to be the Storm Tribe's territory. That or they had travelled the completely wrong direction. "This is it, right?" She asked the two Death Pride kits, twisting around to look at them.

  • D'Yepa followed as well, massive, well furred, and doing a continuous sweep with her cold gaze. She didn't trust the Tribe to meet them with any sort of diplomacy, and the seven year old warrioress didn't intend to have her clanmates killed under her watch. She made sure she was pulling up the rear, so that Coyote and Occo wouldn't get left behind, her ears flicking continuously.

  • Elixor was in the shadows, watching. Waiting to see if they would cross the border or not. They must have gone through the mountains to get there, because it didn't look like they'd gone through one of the passes- plus the passes were further south. The Storm Tribe leader's eyes glittered as he watched, then he spoke. "Who goes there?"

  • "Riverclanners," answered D'Yepa curtly, amber eyes retracing where the voice had originated from. The Black serval was difficult to see in the shadows. "With kits left behind in the last attack on our camp."

  • Otterpaw followed behind slowly. As hard as she had been trying to keep everyone within her gaze, the poor apprentice still couldn't run as fast as many of the others and fell behind. When she came up, finally, her usually smooth, well-groomed fur was fluffed out in shock and awe. That's the biggest cat I've ever seen! Otterpaw took a subconscious step backwards when she saw Elixor. But still, curiosity and the fact that she willingly came with this patrol despite knowing the possible dangers, kept her paws glued in place.

  • Occoquan nodded to the RiverClanners. "This is the place," he mewed, recognizing the scent. "It smells like them." He shot an excited glance at Coyote that was, at the same time, anxious...would they, or would they not be returned if the StormTribe didn't hand over the kits?

  • Stonefur had followed the group in silence and kept a eye out for some nasty loners that might try to attack them. The large gray tom turned his head as he heard another voice. Stonefur's icy blue eyes glared at the cat watching him closely.

  • Basilripple narrowed her sharp green eyes at the sight of Elixor. He was large... but that didn't stop the she-cat from glaring straight into his eyes. "From what we've heard... you have something of ours, and we have something of yours."

  • Coyote stuck close to Occoquan, trudging slightly behind him. At ELixor's words, he stopped and stared at the shadows. He turned to Occoquan, looking just as excited. He didn't even consider the possibility of being taken back to RiverClan.

  • "None of my tribe were left behind." Elixor said, stepping forward, ears angled towards the Riverclanners. He'd seen Occo and Coyote, yes. "My tribe didn't 'steal' any kits of your clan." Fortunekit had come by her own wanting, sure she was informed wrong but she'd come wanting to.

  • Basilripple tensed, but remembered Shimmerstar's warning. They couldn't fight, or they'd be killed - literally. "Oh really?" The warrior said, looking back toward Occoquan and Coyote. "Then who're these two?" Basilripple flicked her tail in the direction of the two Death Priders.

  • "An ally of our's." Elixor said, the black serval peering at the kits with blue eyes. "They might have stolen kits." He continued.

  • "And where are they?" Basilripple knew that she had to keep a calm faace on, lest she boil over and do something irrational. "Because I think we'd like to talk to them." THe warrior smiled sweetly, though anyone could see the real emotion behind it - frustration.

  • ooc: urrrrr where's argo's player? xD

Elixor glanced over his shoulder and listened for a bit. He could hear other Tribers hunting and other things, but he didn't know if any of them were Death Priders. "Just a sec." He said to the Riverclanners, then chirped a high-pitched voice into his woods.

  • ((OOC| Wolfin plays Argo!))

Trotting right beside Otterpaw was big Chestnutpaw, looking like anytihng but an aprpentice these days, with his height and well-developed muscles. He was several moons past normal warrior-naming age, but thos didn't bother him. What would have bothered him was getting a warrior name without Foxpaw at his side.

But right now there was a different threat, and letting his shoulder brush Otterpaw's to let her know he wasn't about to stand for any nonesense even from this giant cat, he planted all four paws confidently. "So, you're sheltering these allies in your territory, you allow them and your own warriors to attack us over one rogue - and you claim to know nothing about our missing kits? Would this be something like that last Gathering when you told us your Tribe was peaceful to the clans?"

  • "I wanted us to stay out of this war, but we were pushed back into it to assist some of our Comet Tribe." said Elixor with a flick of his shorter tail. "Would you have handed the rogue over without a fight if we had just asked? No." The serval replied, then continued after a second of wait. "We took matters into our own paws, in our own way- a way that isn't beyond clans."

  • "It might have helped if you'd asked for the member before attacking," D'Yepa stated coldly, eyeing the serval incredulously. She could still hear Shimmerstar's repetitive pleas for an explanation, met by paw swipes.

She may have been a large maine coon, and senior to this cat by many years, but his size still made him worth a fractional degree caution. "In any case, Riverclan would have dealt with it internally. It's unacceptably forward of you to try and govern our society with the threat of violence," she added bitingly, carefully standing over Coyote.

  • "It might have, but that's not what happened." Elixor replied with a flick of his tail. He could almost hear others coming by now, and one ear was facing the forest, while the other was facing the Riverclanners. "Do you know why the anti-clans exist?" He said, blue eyes daring them to argue.

  • Basilripple looked away from Elixor, hearing the, if slightly insane, reasoning behind his words. "Could you please just get whoever this ally leader is and give us our kit back?" She muttered, low enough to where only she could hear.
