Fallenpaw grinned as he looked at Gingerpaw, studying her face. "This is better than lying in the apprentices' den, huh?"

"By so much." agreed Gingerpaw with a loud purr.
-
Fallenpaw laughed before looking away from his friend's face, not wanting to be caught staring.
-
Gingerpaw yawned. The sun felt like a two-leg's hand, scratching and rubbing her stomach. That made her purr even more louder.
-
Fallenpaw's eyes were once again drawn to Gingerpaw, and however much he tried, he couldn't stop the thoughts of him and her alone... together.. why was he like this?! He gave grunt of irritation, pawing at his muzzle and looking at the ground.
-
"Something wrong?" Gingerpaw meowed sleepily. Her lazy gaze drifted over towards Fallenpaw, with a slight look of concern.
-
Fallenpaw shook his head, not looking at Gingerpaw. Hopefully, she wouldn't feel bad about that...
-
"Okay..." Gingerpaw rolled back onto her back, and closed her eyes lightly.
-
When Gingerpaw shifted, Fallenpaw chanced a peek, and seeing that her eyes were closed, gratefully let out a soft sigh of relief. Maybe she wouldn't notice his nervous behavior, because if she asked, he wouldn't have a sufficient answer.
-
Gingerpaw let out a tiny grunt. The sun was making her so exhausted, that she was starting to fall into a deep sleep.
-
Fallenpaw laughed and nudged Gingerpaw. "Hey, don't fall asleep on me!"
-
"I'm...not..." Gingerpaw whispered, before she rolled onto her side, her back facing Fallenpaw.
-
Fallenpaw shifted closer, nudging her again as she rolled away. "Yes you are.." he whispered back.
-
"I'm not..." Gingerpaw grumbled, rolling onto her back. The sun was making her more sleepy by the minute.
-
Fallenpaw nosed her shoulder. "C'mon.."
-
"What?" Gingerpaw turned to face Fallenpaw, and lazily opened her eyes.
-
"You're falling asleep," he whined, putting on a dramatic pouting face.
-
"Aw, don't be sad." Gingerpaw purred playfully, aiming a small bat at his face. "I'm awake."
-
Fallenpaw grinned and batted at her back, glad that she wasn't falling asleep again. "Good, because if you weren't, I'd have to drop you in the river!"
-
"You wouldn't dare." Gingerpaw growled playfully, her dark eyes sparkling with excitement.
