Lance spoke first, while she slept " Well that was rather sudden..." He was starting to like Jess some...

jess smiled at the little girl then glared at the wolves outside she closed the curtains and shifted gaurding her while she slept

The little girl sat up suddenly screaming at the top of her lungs. She closed her eyes and screamed!
Lance covered his sensitive ears.

jess shifted back and held the little girl whispering "your safe I wont let them get you"

Tears streamed down her face. she pushed away Jess, and headed towards the door.
Lance jumped up in front of the door. He knelt down saying to the girl " Hey, easy, you'll be safe and ok here...."

Jess looked at lance and the little girl and smiled at her she went and got some brownies out of the kitchen and set them on the coffee table

The little girl stopped, she looked into Lance's eyes and He looked into hers. She suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck in a tight hug.
Lance smiled and hugged the small girl back.

Jess felt a pang of jealousy even though it was a seven year old "whats your name little one" jess asked

The girl wiped her cheeks and said almost silently " Lacey..."
Lance looked at Jess, noticing her clenched jaw.

Lance stood up and looked outside " We are gonna have to feed them or fight them to get them to go away..." He whispered to himself.
