    Every October, a cat comes to the forest for a special suprise...Holding a knife and claws as sharp as blades. Cats terrify him, even the strongest warriors can't face him. He sneaks into the cats' dens. And the last words they ever hear will be "Go to sleep..." They call this cat Jeff the killer. But, this October, will any of the cats face Jeff and chase Jeff out to have peace?

    Owlflight was lying down in the warriors den. She sensed someone or something was coming and urged herself to stay awake. (1/15)

    "It knows that we know it's here," Owlflight whispered. 2/15

    "It wants us to know it has power over us," Owlflight replied calmly. 3/15

    "I can smell that its not fox or badger. I'm pretty sure it's a cat, but why is it just sitting out there?" Hollypaw mewed.

    "No!" Hollypaw whispered, frightened. "What if whoever it is is evil? I mean, I don't recognize the scent. They seem to be hiding outside the den. They might hurt you!"

    Owlflight sighed. "If they are outnumbered, they could hiss loudly," she suggested. 3/15
