Romano simply stayed in the first room, the living room, and leaned back against the couch. In silence, the ill-tempered Italian listened to the muffled conversation, slight hurt flickering in the hazel depths before vanishing so quickly that someone would have wondered if it had even existed.

Yes, sure he was used to be cast aside in the presence of his fratello, but for some reason that the nation could not explain, it hurt to see the Spaniard do the same. Spain was right, his country was fine. But it was his heart that needed fixed. The problem was that nobody ever tried or thought about that.

Lovino sighed irritably, rolling his hazel gaze and pushing the thought aside before flicking the television on.
