A broken leg

    Starpaw crawls into the medicine cat den, his leg at an odd angle. "Help." He says, before collapsing and paaing out in pain.

    With a gasp of surprise Chimingpaw rose and scampered to Starpaw's side. "What happened to you?" She questioned, a moment too late. As she ran her nose along the she-cat's side, then lightly along her twisted leg, Chimingpaw affirmed the other apprentice had passed out. "Right." She muttered aloud to herself. "Reeds and cobwebs. Poppy seeds for when she wakes up." The medicine cat apprentice, after hesitating long enough to glance at Starpaw's unconscious form, briskly wandered off to where the herbs were stored to fetch what she needed.

    Rainfeather, a young Thunderclan warrior, pelted into the den.
    "I heard someone was sick. Oh my, Starpaw, what happened? I can sort of help you Chimingpaw, my mother was a healer."

    "I'll be fine." Chimingpaw said firmly, too caught up in her work to scold the warrior that she was the medicine cat and didn't need help. When Starpaw lifted his head, Chimingpaw paused. "Lay back down, you need to rest." She nosed forward a couple poppy seeds. "Take these, they'll help with the pain."

    (Sorry I've been inactive over the past few weeks, I'v been dealing with some personal problems.)


    I lick the poppy seeds up, and pass out again.

    Nodding to herself, the medicine cat apprentice turned and grabbed a nearby reed. Glad the apprentice had swallowed the poppy seeds and was out again - the next part was rather painful - Chimingpaw began to straighten out his leg and aligned the reed alongside it.
