  • Calyx had eventually chosen to take a quick shower while Ciar had been busy taking one of his own. Wearing a simple tanktop and shorts, she hung over the bed, legs holding onto the side of the mattress and her lower body resting on the floor. Her eyes were slightly glassy with unshed tears, though she paid no mind.

  • After about an hour of searching, Ciar had grown worried. Soon he found her and sighed with relief. "There you are," he said. He was about to scold her on having not alerted him if her whereabouts when he noticed she looked like she was about to cry. "What's wrong?" He asked, sitting beside her.

  • Calyx wiped her eyes, not speaking for a moment. She slid off of the bed, sitting upright with a slight sniffle. Blood rushed down to her body, making her cringe slightly as a headache set in. Her hair was still damp from her shower. "Nothing," She replied, voice scratchy.

  • "I ordered room service," Calyx told him, voice flat. Some dude held out a box of pizza. She took it and left him to pay. xD

  • Calyx was tempted to comment on how food wasn't neccesary for him, though decided against it. She handed him a slice of pepperoni pizza, already munching on her own.

  • Wordlessly he nodded and then took a bite out of the pizza. Though he didn't need to eat it, he felt he needed to be beside her and that wanting a piece of food was just an excuse.

  • He sighed and then relaxed slightly against the couch. "Tell me what's wrong when you are ready," he said, quietly and then closed his eyes, giving her time and space.

  • "I've already told you," Calyx replied quietly, working on her third pizza. "There's nothing else to it, really.."

  • "Then why were you crying?" he asked, his eyes still closed remembering the sadness on her face as he had walked into the room. It seemed as though the image was burned on the back of his eyelids

  • "I wasn't crying," Calyx said in her defense, a frown tugging at her lips. "I just.." She trailed off, staring down at her hands. "I don't want this wedding either, so it doesn't matter."

  • He opens one eye and then sighed quietly. "I know," was all he murmured. He reached out and took her hand, gently rubbing soothing circles in the back of it, in an attempt to comfort her.
