SilverCrest smiled at him, "Uh-huh." She repeated, eyes glimmering

He nodded and curled up tighter. "glad to know that"
-
She laughed, listening to the storm, "They'll have given up by now." She commented
-
Dewey shivered. "I hope so."
-
SilverCrest smiled at him, "I miss being in a pack sometimes." She whispered over the thunder
-
"I could help you find one," he suggested
-
"But then I'd loose you." Her voice was soft and sweet like sugar, her eyes welcoming but clouded
-
Des felt warm. "you'd find much more though." he said
-
"I don't want more." Silver whispered, "I don't need more."
-
"good because I'd hate to lose you, too." he said, now unconcerned with the weather.
-
SilverCrest smiled prettily, "Well, we could find a pack and both join." She suggested, knowing it was a long shot
-
"packs don't usually want me." he said sadly " but we could-" he stopped suddenly
-
SilverCrest looked at him, "We could what?" She asked, clueless
-
"nothing it doesn't matter." he said quickly
-
Silver wouldn't let it slide, "Please tell me." She urged, head tilted
-
He sighed. "nothing it wouldn't work anyway."
-
SilverCrest sighed, "Please?" She asked, half-heartedly
-
"no, it wouldn't work." Dewey said stubbornly.
-
Silver gave up, "Okay." She whispered
-
Dew curled tighter with a sigh. His ears flattened and he let out a soft whine as a particularly loud thunder hit his ears.
