He let out a soft 'hmmm' and opened his eyes.
"Morning already?" he said groggily. -
"What do you think?" She laughed, motioning to the morning sunlight that filtered through the opening of the den.
-
He yawned and tried to blink the sleep away. "I'm used to sleeping late.."
-
Silver laughed, "Tough!"
-
He shook off the remnants of sleep, and stood up, stretching. "What do ya say we go for a hunt?" He asked, eyes sparkling.
-
SilverCrest nodded, "Sounds good. I already found an elks scent."
-
Dewey nodded, impressed. "You're good, let's go!" he said excitedly.
-
She laughed, "This way!" She said, darting left
-
He chased quickly after her, scenting the elk now as well.
-
The elk was near, the scent was strong. She kicked off the ground, a terrified shriek escaped the elk.
-
Dew heard the elk cry out and charged forth, ready for the hunt.
-
SilverCrest latched onto it's hind, bringing it down. She bit down on it's neck hard, cutting off it's air supply
-
Dew joined her in biting at its neck, for two choking off its air was better than one. He positioned himself so that the bulk of his weight was pressing down on it, in case it tried to rise or flee again.
-
Silver felt the elk breath for the last time. She relaxed her grip, tearing into it's stomach, "It's been ages since I ate."
-
"Been a while for me, too."
Dew ate his fill and sat back, cleaning off his muzzle and fur for any blood.
-
Silver did the same, hiding the kill in a place no-one would find and masking the scent, "What now?"
-
Dew thought for a moment. "I dunno.." he replied at last.
-
Silver lay down, head on her paws, "Think of something."
-
Dewey stuck his nose in the air, and took a long smell. Wind began to blow, and he could see dark clouds moving in on the distance.
"I think a storm is coming.." he said fearfully.
