  • Shadow shook her head.
"You can do stuff I can't. For example, the losing side of a war, their dead soldiers will do as you say, for they owe a tribute to Ares." Shadow couldn't say how she knew this;she just did.

  • "When am i ever going to need that?" She said, exasperated. She concentrated hard on her enforced claws.

  • The dream had involved playing with a kit identical to her, named Night. Then, someone had taken Night away. Shadow ran then, through the forest, until she collapsed, exhausted. Shadow pondered over this dream. What did it mean? Who was Night? Her sister, maybe? It was possible. After all, Shadow knew nothing of her mortal family, and the kit had looked just like her, thought maybe a bit bigger.

Shadow looked up at the sky. The stars were fading as the sun came up. Shadow figured she should get some more rest and went back to her cabin.

  • Rowan's eyes shot open. The flaming claws had chased her into a forest where she met with a cat that looked like Shadow. She shook her head to get rid of the nightmares. She stretched an padded outside her cabin.

  • After breakfast the next morning, Shadow went down to the practice range, deciding to try to get better at using those celestial bronze claw extenders that flew off when a cat flicked it's paws with the claws unsheathed. (the cat version of bow and arrows)

  • "Of course. I can never get it right." she flung the extenders towards the target, but, as always, the majority of them missed. The ones that did hit was on the outer part of the target.

  • Rowan touched them with her paw and closed her eyes. She felt how it worked, how you get perfect accuracy. She opened her eyes and set them on. She drew back and got 2 of them close to the bulls-eye. but the rest were scattered around the board. "Oh, that was cool."

  • Rowan rolled her eyes. "Lemme try again." She fastened them again. She took aim and this time, got 3 close to the bulls eye.
