"Dragon." he said in a low voice. Looking away, he added, "I know. Its an odd name. But my mother gave it me. Named me after my father."
Time is running out!

"Dragon.. interesting. How did you get hurt anyways.?" Dawn meowed as he looked away.
-
Dragon didnt say anything. He just stared at the ground. Birdsong could be heard from the trees above and the rushing of water from a stream near by. A breeze swayed his black fur; but he remained still.
-
Dawn knew he touched a rough subject, so she meowed,"Want to try walking?" She looked at Dragon's fur in the breeze, and licked his ear in acknowledgement.
-
Dragon still didnt move for a moment but then he glanced at Dawn and nodded shyly. "If i can." He lifted a paw and slowly started to take a step. He felt a bit sore; but he wasnt about to look any weaker then he already had in front of the she-cat.
-
She watched him take his first paw-step, and she hoped and hoped he could do it. His night black pelt had WORRY all over it. She flicked her ears as she watched him start to walk.
-
He was walking! Dragon was walking! The black tom walked around in circles over and over; filled with joy. To other cats it may seem silly; but to him. Well. He didnt care what they thought. Dragon looked back up at Dawn. "Im still a bit sore; but i can move. Im not sure i should run or anything though."
-
Dawn nodded,"I agree, you CAN walk, but i wouldnt prefer running ethier." She purred and nuzzled him affectionately, then she meowed,"What should we do now, I mean... you can walk and everything!"
-
Dragon blinked at her. "I dont know. I cant really go back to where i came from..." he shuffled his paws a bit. Then he narrowed his eyes in confusion. "Wait... We?" What did she mean by we? He wondered. Surley she dosnt want to stay with me. No cat does.
-
She blinked, shrugged,"Maybe I could hunt some food for us!" Dawn grinned at Dragon and waited for his approval
-
"Ok... Thanks." he said slowly. It felt odd to have a cat care for him again... "Are you sure i dont owe you?" he asked; worry coming off him like waves.
-
"Like I said, you dont owe me anything, it's my pleasure!" Dawn purred. She then went out of the inclosed den and started hunting.
-
Dragon watched her go. The black tom was alone in the den and didnt like the feeling of it. It made him feel a bit scared. He shook his head. Dont be a mouse-heart! he scolded himself.
-
Dawn found a Sparrow on the ground looking for worms. She stalked it silently, then pounced on it with ease. she buried the sparrow and looked for something else.
-
Dragon wasnt sure of what to do so while waiting he thought it would be a good idea to take a nap. The black tom curled up into a ball; his tail rested over his nose.
"Haha! Stupid cat!" "Your just like your father!" "No one loves you!" "I can see why your mother left you to die!" Pain pierced his body. "Please! Stop!" he begged. Claws, blood, fur, and teeth were everywhere. Where ever he looked, there was a larger cat with the lust for blood in thier eyes as they hurtled cruel things at him. "Die, you piece of fox-dung!" "Ah!" Dragon screamed in his sleep; tossing and turning.
-
Dawn had successfully caught a vole, when she heard a horrifying scream. She quickly unburied the Sparrow, and raced back to the den.
"Dragon!!" she squealed. She hoped he was ok, when he saw he was having a bad dream. She then tried to wake him up from his misery.
-
Dragon blinked open his eyes; panting. The black tom looked up at the she-cat. "Dawn?"
-
"Yes.. It's Dawn!" the she-cat meowed. She licked his flank to try to sooth Dragon, because he was panting heavily and was sweating like crazy. She passed over the vole to him. "Eat, if it makes you feel better." she meowed.
-
Dragon nodded with an absent look to his eyes, as if he had not fully woken up from his dream. When he was almost done with the vole; he shoved the rest to Dawn. "Thanks for waking me up. You can have the rest." His blue eyes seemed dull and dark; his gaze was like he was already dead.
-
She awkwardly ate her vole, and tossed the sparrow in the corner of the den. Dawn noticed how depressed he looked, so she decided to leave him alone for now. Dawn curled up in a ball, head over paws, and fell asleep.
