    IC: Heartbeat scowled and landed, thinking about what the batponies were talking about. It was like some sort of riddle. Hmmmm... bats. Strong against everything, half-blind in day, night-wanderers... Wait. That was it! They needed light! But not just any light. The light of love and kindness, the light that lifted everyone's hopes and dreams as it flickered. The light that could never be blown out. That would defeat the batponies. She sidestepped over to Eclipse. "They're bats that hate. Bats are blind in light, and we need the light of love. Any ideas on how to show it to them?" she whispered.

    One of the batponies laughed.
    "Bats are not blind at all, they have poor eyesight, but are not blind. They also can see just as well in the day as in the night. And we aren't part bat, we're just called batponies because we have bat-like wings."

    Well, for one, they didn't say anything about love and kindness, and two, that could just be an excuse. Finally, three, if none of that works we pretend to give up, fly out of sight, then sneak in another way. Like a hole in the roof. Heartbeat thought, trying to control her fury.

    He stared at her blankly.
    "You do realize we heard your entire plan." He said.

    "So? We gave up on that dumb thing. But to tell you the truth, you do look handsome in that shining armour you're wearing. It makes you look oh so powerful and intimidating. And such smooth, lovely bat wings. They're one of your best main features. " Heartbeat cooed, almost getting swept up in her own charm.

    "Yeah I know." She said finding it genuinly cute slightly blushing. She knew she wasnt supposed to feel any emotion toward the enemy but she couldn't help it. The way they looked a little like her made her think they might understand what it was like.

    The batpony Heartbeat was talking to smiled.
    "And you look lovely as well." He said.


    The batpony close to Eclipse smiled.
    "You know, your very powerful. Has anyone ever praised you much on your magic abilities?"

    (O_O... what did that just turn in to and why do i think this is going in a direction i do and dont want it to go)

    (I'm twisting the plot a bit. Don't worry, no real love connections)

    "Well... Princess Luna and Princess Parvi would be happy to have you, i'm sure. Think of it: a new society where the outcasts rule, where the ones who got the least respect before are bowed down to."

    Eclipse thought about. She looked back at her wings that Purple mist drfted off and swirled around. She nodded. "Fine. Only for the Outcasts though." She said and made her horn glow so the hall was a little brighter.

    Some of the batponies lifted the iron gate a bit, just enough for Eclipse to teleport through.
