    Fireptl stepped back, flanks heaving at the sudden realization that he had finally rid himself of his hated enemy.

    The mare smiled at Firepelt and gave him a nuzzle. "We did it, Firepelt." She breathed happily. Viperherd was freed from Sunburn's hated rule. "Now, to deal with those that followed him. They don't deserve to die, but they need to be taught that Sunburn was a bad leader." She said softly, looking out over the herd, who was cheering, except for a few horses, who seemed like they were hit hard with an unexpected enemy.

    The mare followed Firepelt and snorted, watching as Sunburn's followers watch them with fear. They're afraid. And they have right to be.

    Firepelt halted and gazed over them, searching for someone in paticuliar.
    "Coal! Get over here." he siad, his eyes cold as his voice.

    She watched as a coal black stallion slowly made his way toward Firepelt, his ears flickering nervously. "Y-Yes, Firepelt?" He asked, his voice trembling. Dreamwisp sensed his fear and gave a snort, sending a message to Firepelt that said that the stallion he had named was afraid.

    Firepelt raised his head high, staring down at him.
    "What, afraid of your own little brother?" he said coldly.

    Coal


    He shivered and took a step back. "With that tone, yes." He said just as coldly. He looked up at Dreamwisp and gave a little smile. "I see you finally found yourself a mare, Firepelt. She's beautiful. Looks exactly like..." he broke off his sentence, but the mare knew whom he was talking about. "Lightning Fire was my father, yes, as he was Sunburn's. Father abandoned my mother and myself years ago, after the Moonlight Mountain herd got rid of their own bloodlusting leader. He never came back and mated with Sunburn's mother, the darkest mare I think that ever lived. That's why Sunburn forced this herd into submission by exiling Firepelt, Dakota and the elders!" She bellowed, gaining a loud uproar from those who never wanted Sunburn as leader.

    Firepelt stepped closer to his older brother, pushing his face into Coal's.
    "Take them, all of Sunburn's followers. Leave and never come back. The moment I see you or anyone else in my homeland again, I'll kill them slow and painful, especially you." he said, his voice cold as steel and just as sharp.

    Coal


    The black stallion snorted, his ears pinning against his forehead. "You are jumping to the conclusion that I wanted Sunburn here?!" He snapped, his eyes hard as steel. But, with on hard glare from Dreamwisp, he turned. "Sun-strikers, rally! To me!" Coal neighed and went to the edge of the herd's clearing. He took a look back at his little brother, his eyes boiling with hate. "One day, Firepelt. One day, we will be back, stronger than before." He said and, with a half rear, bolted far from the herd, the rest of Sunburn's followers with him.

    The mare looked at Firepelt and grinned. "Your homeland is free." She said softly.

    Firepelt shook his head. Coal had been his best friend when they were foals but then Sunburn had taken over and his older brother had seen someone strong to look up to and follow.

    The mare nuzzled Firepelt's shoulder, trying to comfort him. "Don't worry, Firepelt." She said softly, a gentle kindness filling her eyes.

    The mare nuzzled him and gave a small huff. "Don't worry, Firepelt. I believe that you will do a fine job as leader. As long as you promise I'll be by your side every step of the way." She said softly.
