  • Dreamwisp

The sun was shining on the day of mating season. Dreamwisp watched as her friends got mated with their stallions and gave a snort, her white star shimmering in the sunlight against her chestnut coat. Let's face it, she thought sadly. I'm never going to get a mate and have a family. That's what she wanted, a family. A stallion to protect her and her foal, if she was to ever have one, and love her for who she was.

(stallions and nonbeginning Role Players only)

  • Firepelt was a loner, a rogue. He hated belonging to herds after he had been kicked out of his as a foal. The 2 1/2 year old stallion was pure black with buckskin socks and a tan blaze on his forehead. His mane and tail were a dark brown. He had lost his best friend and mate about a moon ago. Dakota had been kicked out with him. She had been a dark brown mare. They had been drinking at a pool whenthey were attacked by wolves and she had been killed when the wolves had chased her off a cliff.
Firepelt drank the nice cool water of a pool and flicked his tail at some flies.

  • (hello ^_^)

The mare's nostrils flared as the wind blew. She caught the scent of the stallion and turned, blinking her golden-brown eyes. Should I confront him? She thought, flicking an ear as she glanced between the herd and the stallion. She shook her mane and snorted before she took a single step toward the stallion, her chestnut coat gleaming in the sunlight. "Excuse me, stranger, but you're on Moonlight Mountain territory." She neighed, her voice timid and slightly scared. She stomped a hoof and snorted again, flicking her tail to rid her rump of an annoying fly.

  • Firepelt's head flicked up, scattering water droplets from his wet muzzle. His deep emerald green eyes stared unblinkingly at her.

The chestnut mare' ear flicked in unease as she stomped a hoof again. He's not saying anything.. She thought uneasily, shaking her mane out.

The mare grinned and closed her eyes for a moment. "That's a great name, Firepelt." She said, the name holding power and strength.

She gave a smile back and flicked her tail at another fly. Looking bak to the herd, she huffed, her forelock falling neatly over her star. "How long have you been alone, Firepelt?" She asked, looking back at the stallion.

  • The stallion smiled weakly.
"A while. I was kicked out of my herd as a foal. So was a friend of mine. SHe died about a moon ago." he replied.

  • Dreamwisp

She closed her eyes for a moment. "Mind me asking why you were kicked out as a foal? No foal should be kicked out of any herd. That's just cruel!" She snapped at the end.

  • Firepelt tossed his head and lifted his head to the sky, closing his eyes calmly.
"The herd leader was an idiot. He led the otehrs to beleive that me and Dakota were cursed because we had abnormal coats and Dakota had a disabilty.

She looked the stallion over and tilted her head. "Your coat seems normal to me. I mean, my coat's chestnut, but it's so red that no one can tell I'm a chestnut." She said calmly, swishing her tail to rid herself of another fly.

  • "Like I said, he was an idiot. I think he may of felt threatened by me. Dakota used to tell me that's why I was run out."

  • Dreamwisp

The mare snorted, her ears flicking back and forth. "That's kind of stupid. What does he have to be threatened by you? No offence, of course." She said, swishing her tail again.

  • "None taken." he said easily, smiling again.
"I think it had something to do with an old prophecy. I never knew it though." he said.
