>>introductions
[color=purple]The forest projects a silent hum of energy. The fingers of the wind, yanking their way through the deciduous trees branches. Leaves were scattered [i]everywhere.
You took note of that. After all, you yourself were quite a smart feline; a lost, but smart feline. Your whiskers twitched as you continued to walk along the forest floor that was - of course - littered with falling leaves. A new sound approached your ear canal as you turned a small bushel of bushes. It was a brook bubbling with crystal clear water. A small smile lit up your face and you quickly trotted over to the water supply...
As you bent your head down and started to lap up the water, a sigh of content escaped your lips. You continued to drink as if you haven't drunk for moons, but you drunk the water unaware of who - or what - was watching. In the shadows, sitting at the base of a large birch tree was her. Today, the wind wasn't on your side, clearly. She arose to her four paws and stood high. A small glint flashed in her eyes. You were on Juggernaut's land; her domain. The tank of a tuxedo cat slowly started to make her way over to your smaller form. A smirk formed on her maw. Still unaware you sat down and looked around. The beauty of the forest and fog finally hit you and your now sane mind. After traveling for so long without water it would be expected that you would be dehydrated. As a last gulp of water was going down your throat something shoved you into the brook. You dove head first, summer salted, smashed your hip on a rock and landed in some pebbles, covered in muck. Your reaction time worsened due to the fact that you couldn't get up. There she stood above you, both her massive white paws nailing yours onto the pebbles in the small brook. Juggernaut's signature smirk never left her face, and her eyes were devoid of sympathy for you.
You both stayed in that position for a while, and then a "slow motion" moment came into play. Juggernaut breathed in some air and spoke. You could barely understand her words because her Italian accent was so strong. "Your purpose for being here would be?" That's when it struck you. This feline had to have come from the fricken mob from Italy, but no. This temperamental she-cat was born in SkyClan. With fear glazing your eyes, and a loud heartbeat in your chest you couldn't answer. Hell, you were rendered unable to answer because of her shear size!
What am I going to do? You thought to yourself. Now standing at an crossroad of either: get slaughtered, or join which would be your choice? The black cat didn't let up. Instead she pushed more of her weight onto your paws. A yowl erupted from your vocal chords. A few pebbles had embedded themselves in your supple paw pads. Small streams of red streaked the brook and out of the corner of your eye you saw your own blood flowing through the water. The pain soon numbed. Thirty minutes and she still hadn't said anything. Everything was starting to hurt, your hip, and your paws - you didn't have front paws anymore; the numbness rendered them useless. Finally, in a soft whisper you spoke.
"I.. I can not join." Clearly that was the wrong answer. Juggernaut jumped over to your side; the side with the injured him and kicked you with her back legs. You went tumbling down the stream and couldn't get up. Once you managed to raise yourself slightly her yellow teeth were already sunken into your fur. The world started to spin and you could see transparent cats standing in front of you; StarClan cats. There was more struggling and blood spill by both you and Juggernaut. Of course you wouldn't go down without a fight, but right now you were. In fact, you did. Suddenly you felt your brain stop, then your heart. Nothing worked. Your limbs were useless and the sense of being "out of your body" overwhelmed you. You saw many cats from your old Clan with smiles on their faces. You were in StarClan. They welcomed you and you rushed to their embrace. But, you looked back to your murder. You had never gotten her name, but what you did do was sign your own death warrant.
"Don't those Clan cats teach you not to steal water or food?" Juggernaut snickered. She trotted up stream then proceeded to clean herself off. In her peripheral vision she saw another cat making their way to the stream. The stream were so many felines were killed by Juggernaut. This stream is where her territory started; where ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ started. The feline resumed her position by a large oak; sitting at it's base.
"You're either my next ally, or the cat on my hit list." Juggernaut whispered to herself, "Choose wisely kitty-kat." The massive Italian cat said.
[color=purple]>>religion & ceremonies
[color=purple]The Beliefs
The cats of ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ are very picky cats when it comes to the word "religion". There actually, is not set religion for ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ. All cats are free to believe in what they wish, as long as they can be a cold-blooded killer when the time calls for it. Yes, this means that there are StarClan, Darkforest cats, et cetera. If you do worship strongly, please keep your opinion to yourself. We don't need any prophets or messiahs running around in ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ. Juggernaut would have to kill you then, wouldn't she?
In short, believe in who you believe in but remember your real God in ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ is Juggernaut.
Ceremonies
Apprentice Ceremony {or better known as "Destination"} ;;
"Do you pledge your undying loyalty to me young kit? If so, then I shall look down upon you as a cat of this covenant. If you do not accept the responsibility that is bestowed upon you then leave before you no longer walk this Earth."
The kit will then either agree or disagree. As far as "mentors" go - they're referred to as Teachers in ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ - the apprentice actually gets the choice. The final approval is made by Juggernaut though.
The mourning Ceremony {for deaths within the Covenant, it's called the "Black Morrow"} ;;
"My dear family, I am here to announce the death of someone we all hold dead; the death of >cats name here<. For two days and one night, we shall not eat. We shall mourn the loss of this great cat. >next comes some sort of speech about the cat<. I wish >his/her< family the best. Persevere, for we shall be okay.
The two days proceed where the cats mourn for their losses and hunt for the covenant. No cat eats for two days, but are allowed one small piece of food at the night time. The only cats that are excluded from this rule are nursing queens.
The birth Blessing Ceremony {or better known as "Life"} ;;
"Welcome to the world young one. I wish you the best of luck; may success follow you wherever you go. Then the medic-cat or leader will turn to the mother and say: "You have done well. Congratulations."
The mother may choose to have her kits blessed or not. It doesn't make a difference, but it's recommended so that Juggernaut can notice the kit.
The Warrior Ceremony {or better known as the "Coming of Age"} ;;
"You have served the cats around you well and now your teacher and I see it fit that you become one of us. Do you accept this proposition while taking on the loyalty condition you took on so many months ago?"
When you become a warrior of the Covenant there is no set date. Same applies for apprentices. You could start training at three months of age and finish at eighteen months. It all depends on your skills, but if you're not deemed fit then you shall keep training.
Those are the most important ceremonies. The medic-cat is appointed by Juggernaut. She sees to it that the cat knows what they're doing. The medic-cat has a small ceremony that just binds their soul and loyalty to the leader at the time. There is an effective liaison of communication between the two. The medic-cat is also usual one of Juggernaut's right hand cats. The cats close within her social circle.
[color=purple]>>history
[font=times new roman][color=purple] It was quite the sunny day when Nightkit was born. Nightkit - or more formally known as Nightgale; moreover Juggernaut - was a fun, happy little kit. She was born during the good ages of SkyClan, and to further that Nightkit was also born into a very prestigious family. Kithood was good. It was full of milk and honey, play and praise. Nightkit didn't have a care in the world, until she became an apprentice. As a kit she was big and didn't get picked on for it. Most SkyClan cats are supposed to be twigs with powerful hindquarters. Nightkit - now known as Nightpaw - was already bigger than SkyClan's leader. She had problems learning how to hunt, and her mentor was slowly starting to give up on her. By a miracle she did make it to the warrior ceremony; probably due to her fighting skills. As she grew into a fully developed she-cat her vocal chords also changed. She was an Italian mutation of a cat. A large tuxedo pattered cat with an accent that came from no where. The truth is though, that she was a half Clan cat. Mother SkyClanner and father.. An Italian imported mob cat rogue. Shortly after being appointed a warrior - and getting her terrible warrior name; Nightgale - she left SkyClan. She left and turned into a malignant cat. Now evil, her name went out the door. She was now known as Juggernaut of ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ . She traveled for days, through DarkClan, and found a territory guarded by a bubbling brook. It resided next to HawkClan's borders. The unclaimed land became known as ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ - an Anti-Clan group that has no set range of beliefs.
[color=purple]>>the camp & territory
[font=times new roman][color=purple]The Camp
ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ's camp is surrounded by thick thorn bushes like mysore raspberry, the black hawthorn, and the southern dewberry. All three of the bushes are knotted together which cause the outer walls of the camp to be thick with sharp berries and needles that could cause sever blood loss. This means that there is only one way into the camp, and one way out; that would be the front gorse tunnel that is surrounded by a thicket of grass. Upon entrance, you can see a large spacious area with a massive oak tree by the center of the camp. The tree has many branches which allow the cats of ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ to climb if an attack is ever launched on them. To the north-west of the oak tree is the warrior den. The den is surprisingly big and is a big domed, low to the ground rock. A few meters away from the den is a fairly medium sized nursery. The walls that encase it are full or rocks, ivy, and thorn thickets. On the inside of the den though, there is dry, yellow moss and thick grass covering the thorns; it was placed so no kit or queen would hurt themselves. The kits and queens also sleep on shavings with beds of moss for extra comfort. Now, going down from the nursery back by the entrance of the camp is the apprentice den. It's relatively small so when the apprentices sleep they sleep in close quarters. Their den is made up of some rocks, leaves and mud all plastered together. There are a few holes, so it's understandable that there is a draft going through the den in the colder months. Now, back to the oak tree. If you look to the left - or better known as the north-eastern part of the camp lies the leaders den and the announcement podium. The leaders den is a small tunnel that leads to a crevice deep in the back of the thorny bushes. There are grasses and reeds that guard the entrance to the tunnel. When you reach the actual den there are a few bones scattered about, some blood stains on the dry, yellow-brownish dirt ground, and a massive moss bed. The walls of the den are also lined with dry moss for extra protection and comfort. There is a secret way to get out of the den, which you could also call the "back way out of the camp". A small underground tunnel made by Juggernaut herself. The "high rock" is a bunch of smaller rocks that lead up to a larger, forward slanting rock. To the right of the leaders den is the medicine den. It is the only den that is built up of solid stone rock and has a very small slivered crevice entrance. Once squeezing your way inside, you can see it's quite spacious. On the right side of the den is another sub-division tunnel that houses the medic-cat's herbs. The inside of the den is lined with dry moss and sweet smelling grass.
The Surrounding Territory & Prey
The most important surrounding of ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ is the bubbling brook. It is their front-most border and is constantly patrolled by Juggernaut herself. The other two borders are HawkClan to the left and DarkClan to the right. The last border which would be the one behind the camp is ongoing until it hits a massive valley that leads to an expanse of snow capped-rocky mountains. There is no type of "moonstones" in the territory. But somewhere to the east of the camp is a twisted up old, dead tree. It is the only spiritual place within the whole territory. Cats can go to pray to their God as long as it isn't StarClan or the Dark Forest. The rest of the area is just dirt, deciduous and conifer trees, with multiple herbs and plant life. There are also some small pools of drinking water as well. Pray runs well all the way up until Winter hits. Regular pray includes: rabbits, some otters by the brook, voles and water voles, squirrels, small types of birds if you can leap up and catch them quick enough, and rare enough dead deer.
[color=purple]>>ranks & rules
[font=times new roman][color=purple]
The Rules {or better known as the "Sanctum"}
-- The leaders words are the law. You are allowed to question why, but you are not allowed to disobey.
-- The medic-cat has no right to release any information to any other cat in the Covenant. This includes the sinister medic-cat. All information is first reported to Juggernaut. If this law is broken, the medic-cat and sinister medic-cat are killed immediately.
-- You may no believe in StarClan or the Dark Forest. If you do, then you acknowledge that you follow a rule from the Warrior Code. You shall be exiled immediately. Any other beliefs are okay though.
-- Respect. Respect is key to the Covenant and if you do not know how to respect those that are wiser, older, or high up on the rank scale then you're as good as done here.
-- You are not allowed to use words that the Clan cats use. No fox dung, two-leg, etc. In this group you are mature and call two-legs "humans"; for that is what they really are. This is a punishable offence.
-- No information about anything is allowed to be released to the "outside" world. If you betray this rule, then you are automatically a traitor and killed.
-- Food is distributed evenly, and the elders must come and get their own food themselves. If an elder can not come to get there food then they will die of starvation. Being to weak to get your own food signifies you are losing your place in ĤŶŚŤĔŔĨĂ. It is considered a great blessing to be killed by your leader when you are old and not able to pull your weight.
-- If you break the Sanctum, you're as good as dead.
-- During Embassy meetings there is no yelling. If someone breaks this rule multiple times, they risked being kicked off of the Council.
-- If you are in the special fighting sub-unit you may not love, have a mate or kits, with a cat in it. So for example, you have a cat in Imperial Guard and she liked a tom from the Imperial Guard. That is not allowed because it puts your love before your duty and loyalty to the Covenant.
--An important rule. Toms pick their mates, not she-cats. It's an odd rule, but a rule nevertheless. This means all she-cats -as long as they're not in the sub-unit with the tom wanting to mate a/o become mates with said she-cat- are fair game. The leader has the final say in approving the match, and this also means the leader is up for mating and such, etc.
-- If you are applying as a kit, you are expected to post a roleplay sample with the kit. (:
-- If you've read the rules, put "EXO!" in the "Code Section" of the form.
-- All WCRPG rules apply.
-- This is an Advance Group! No one liners people! I'm expecting a lot from you all. <3
