He finished it second and opened his reading book and waited for the teacher to collect it.

The teacher came by and collected the papers and then told Shylar she could leave early.
-
He looked at Shylar confused.
-
She looked at him, her eyes gleamed with unreadable emotion? "What?" she asked impatiently.
-
HE looked away and muttered, "Nobody gets out of class early."
-
"Well I do." she snapped. Like I would want to stay here anyways...
-
He glared at her. "Then go. It's not like we welcome show-offs around here anyway."
-
"It's called the School for the Gifted, so it's okay to show off if I want to. There's no rule against it and you haven't the right to boss me around." she sneered.
-
"I don't boss you arund. When have I ever- Whatever. I'm not waisting my breath on you. If you weren't here I would've been first." He snarled.
-
"That sounds like you're saying I'm better than you." she said, intimidatingly.
-
"That's not what I'm saying at all!" He snapped as the bell rang. He grabbed his books.
-
"Detention is seeming better and better already." she said to herself as she left, her bookbag slung over her shoulder.
-
"You got detention?" He asked. He slung his pack over his shoulder and headed to the door.
-
"Yep, turns out talking back isn't tolerated here." she laughed.
-
"You don't say." He rolled his eyes. "And I thought this day couldn't get any worse.
-
"Exactly, what I thought." she shrugged and walked to the detention room.
-
He followed her slowly trying to stay away from her.
-
She walked into the room, slamming the door and then tossing her books into an empty desk before propping her feet up on the desk.
-
He followed her inside but walked to the teachers desk. He lifted up the cushion on the chair pulled out a neck pillow and blanket.
-
Shylar raised her eyebrows at him and pulled out her phone to text her sister.
