    she started to walk out of the alley

    she walked towards the apartment she lived in with her older usually drunk brother

    she walked inside her brother was passed out on the couch she smiled slightly and put a blanket over him

    she walked into the kitchen and made a strong coffee

    Adam smiled as he sat down and bounced his sister on his knee. He looked up as his drunk father walked in. "Son!" He growled. "Take her to bed.." Adam glared at his father. "It's only four in the afternoon." He said quietly. "You will do as I say!" His father yelled. Adams mother quickly walked into the room. "Joe, please.." She pleads. "Just go rest."

    she sipped the coffee she didn't feel it burn her lip she put it down and waited for the clouds to change

    Joe grunted and glared at Adam. He turned around and stormed upstairs. Adam kisses his little sisters forehead. Hannah looks up at her big brother. "Why daddy mean?" She asked. Adam hugged her tightly. "He just drank to much." He says gently. "Oh." She mumbles and throws her little arms around Adams neck.

    she sighed and went to her room she walked to her closet and got out a black backpack she stuffed some clothes into it and went back to the kitchen she grabbed twenty bucks she wrote a quick note and left the apartment

    Later that night Adam put his sister to bed. He went to his room and sat on his bed. Suddenly there was a bang in his sisters room. He jerked forward grabbing the door handle. It was locked. He slammed his body into the door and suddenly it gave way. He ran to Hannah's room and the first thing he saw was crimson blood splattered against the walls and bed. Adam screamed as he stared at his sisters lifeless body. "No!!" He screamed. "No!!" He stared at the open window and saw a figure disappear.

    Etaine was in an alley hiding and silently hoping she saw someone run past her and frowned

    Adam rushed to his sister. He took her in his arms. "No..." He whispered. Adams mother rushed in and as soon as she saw she wailed and collapsed. Joe saw everything a shocked look on his wrinkled face.

    she stood up slowly and walked out of the alley then started to run she wasn't lost no she knew she wasn't lost
