he runs into a storage closet and comes back with blanket and gives it to her here he says “sit down on the couch while I heat up some soup” he says

Diana shiver-smiled and sat down, wrapping up in the blanket.

he came back with a bowl of soup and set it down next to her on a coffee table

Diana slowly took the bowl of soup, letting the warmth numb her fingers. It was probably bad that she couldn't feel them but at least it wasn't painful. the girl took a slurp of the soup and smiled, sighing in comfort as the warm soup soothed her empty stomach and warmed her body.

“better?” he asks

Diana nodded gratefully and smiled. Her smile was beautiful but behind it all, you could see how many times her heart had been broken. "Thank you, Riley."

Diana looked at the couch. "Well, either one of us can sleep on the couch-which would be me-or we could both sleep in the bed." She didn't seem wavered by her last offer.
