  • "Why hello there. It's my pleasure to see all of you on this glorious day we have!" Kinkpaw greeted. He just kept smiling...completely ignoring Wolfpaw's attitude, even though he noticed it. But being rude was not gentletom-like, so quiet he was about it.

  • Ashpaw and Honeypaw giggled at Wolfpaw and Kinkpaw. Honeypaw leaned to her brother and whispered "Kinkpaw. He's so very proper." Ashpaw nodded. "Hello Kinkpaw." Honeypaw whispered, padding up to him, next to Waterpaw. Ashpaw sat next to Wolfpaw, just to get a close up on his response.

  • Waterpaw grinned liking how nicely he talked unlike even the most senior warriors in the clan. "Yes...this day has been...glorious." she meowed and turned to her brother. "Why do you have to be so rude all the time." she whispered to him in amusement poking his broad shoulder.

Wolfpaw just snorted in amusement and shook his thick dark brown dappled coat.

  • Honeypaw giggled. "If Wolfpaw starts talking like Kinkpaw, then we're all in trouble." she whispered into Waterpaw's ear.

  • Kinkpaw didn't notice the apprentices gathering around him. "Quite, quite," he replied evenly. "And a storm must've rolled in while I was here; I don't believe I've seen you yet. So greetings and salutations," he mewed to Honeypaw.

Turtlepaw watched the others around Kinkpaw. How does he do it? she wondered. Be so proper, so kind, so charming? Even with that Wolfpaw sitting right next to him! Maybe it's some sort of rare gene. She slowly padded up and sat silently at the back of the group.

  • Honeypaw smiled. "Thank you. And how are you on this glorious day?" she whispered to Kinkpaw. She padded up to Turtlepaw, noticing the she-cat's presence. "I don't know how he does it. Even with Wolfpaw!" she whispered into Turtlepaw's ear. Ashpaw grinned, knowing what his sister was thinking.

  • Waterpaw smiled at Honeypaw and sat down with her fluffy tail curled neatly around her paws. "Hello." she greeted in a poliet and friendly hello to Turtlepaw.

Wolfpaw slowly started to scoot away from the others.

  • Wolfpaw let out a groan and huffed turning his back away from Ashpaw but didn't move.

Waterpaw started to groom her fluffy silver tortie fur humming softly to herself.

  • Kinkpaw nodded curtly and answered, "I'm fantastic, thank you." He noticed Wolfpaw. "Oi there! Could I talk to you?" he asked, no emotion in his gaze.

Turtlepaw shied away from all the attention. "Hi," she whispered, barely audible. She smiled meekly at Honeypaw's comment.

  • Honeypaw giggled at Wolfpaw. "Want to sit with me and Waterpaw?" she asked Turtlepaw softly. Ashpaw laughed at his fellow apprentice's reaction.

  • "I desire to know how you can be so, so, so," Kinkpaw was once in his life lost for words. "Be how you are. I have become increasingly aware that my speaking style and prescense is uncomfortable and awkward for some..." he confessed. "And I was hoping you would teach me, if you are so kind as to."

Turtlepaw nodded with a little smile.

  • "Don't change! Your speaking is super cool!" Honeypaw exclaimed, immediately slapping her tail over her mouth. Ashpaw's eyes widened. "I think twinnie over here is getting rid of her shyness." "I can't believed I yelled for the first time of my life." she muttered through her tail, but it came out as I mmnt bereeve I relled fur da verr shmm mpph off mph liff.

  • Wolfpaw had an amusing grin on his face. "You want me to teach you to talk like a normal cat?" he meowed with a slight smirk.

Waterpaw watched her brother talking with Kinkpaw but didn't here what they were saying and turned back to Turtlepaw and Honeypaw.

  • "Huh?" Kinkpaw turned around and looked at Honeypaw. "Excuse me," he whispered to Wolfpaw, sincerely sorry. "Do you really feel that way?" he asked. He'd always sensed some sort of hostility or uncomfortable-ness from anyone he talked to, but Honeypaw...

Turtlepaw watched. She felt in-different about the situation. "Or do I...?" she asked herself, only just loud enough for her ears.

  • "I like your speech to." Waterpaw admitted. "It is different and interesting...I agree with Honeypaw." she meowed.

    Wolfpaw rolled his eyes.

  • "Really? Sincerely? No kidding?" Kinkpaw asked earnestly. This was a first for him.

  • Waterpaw nodded in honesty. "Yes." she meowed seriously and wrapped her tail neatly over her paws.

    Wolfpaw huffed with a frown.
