  • Alexis sighed, summer was the absolute worst time of year. The days were long and the nights were short. She secretly wished she wasn't a vampire, wished that sunlight wouldn't turn her into a pile of ashes. And most of all, she wished her family didn't think she was dead. She'd been turned by her X-boyfriend who had thrown her into a fast river when he was done. Luckily she'd missed the rapids and climbed into the shadow of the trees before sunrise. It's been two years since then, and today was her seventeenth birthday. 'At least I'm not stuck in school' she thought to herself. She'd moved to New York since she turned, and nobody here knew her or thought that she was dead.

  • Bain was walking about the streets of New York, the unearthly handsome guy looked up at the sun and snorted. He hated sunlight but he needed to go out to get food and such, for a fully turned demon he. Was hungry a lot of the time. Though thank god he didn't crave people anymore, they taste nasty after a while. Bain pushed back his golden blonde hair out of his blue gaze before he stopped at the corner to figure out where he was going. He'd been a demon for what seemed like a short time to him but really was turn almost fifty years ago. His family was dead and he didn't know if he had any great grandnieces or something, though it was a while since he met someone of his family. Bain shook his head and headed down a corner.

  • As the sun finally slid the rest of the way down Alexis sighed in relief and stood, standing where a second ago had she stood she would have been turned to ash. Her light brown hair seemed to ignore the wind the way it hung plainly behind her. Her blue eyes located the moon, a full harvest moon tonight.

  • Bain was munching on an apple as he walked across the street from her. Though, he stopped sensing another creature nearby, and his eyes flashed the dark red color of a demon.

  • Alexis felt like someone was watching her. She took her eyes from the orange glowing moon and turned slowly until she faced the watcher, a blond guy she'd never seen before...was it just her or did his eyes seem kind of...red?

  • Bain blinked at her, she was pale like.a ghost and she seemed to love the night. He tilted his before he just kept walking with his apple.

  • Alexis watched him walk away for a moment, trying to resist the urge to follow the stranger. She knew it'd be odd if her saw her following...That and it could be called 'stalking'. She didn't care though. She followed him silently for a moment then started to jog, "H-hey, who're you?" she asked. She knew that she was being nosy and he might slap her or something, that had happened to her before when she'd asked someone who they were, but that time they'd been staring at her in a bar, so she'd had a better reason to ask on that occasion. "I'm Alexis." she added.

  • Bain looked down at her and blinked before saying, "I'm Bain" he tossed his apple over his shoulder. This girl was interesting, she had an air of mysteriousness about her like she hide something from the world. He flashed her a sly smile, "so why are you out so late? A pretty girl like you shouldn't be out at night"

  • Alexis blushed when he called her pretty, "W-why should you care why I'm out at night?" she asked defensively, "And I don't need a stranger telling me what I shouldn't do, I can protect myself well enough to be outside in New York at any hour I please."

  • "I bet you can, but usually only the weeirdos come out" said Bain with a cool shrug, "unless." He said being over dramatic "yours a weirdo!" then he chuckled at his own stupid joke, "I'm kidding, the dark is a nice thing" he smiled again at her blush that made her look cute.

  • Alexis rolled her eyes again. "Anyway, how did you do that weird red eyes thing back there?" she asked Bain.

  • Bain blinked at her, crap! I'm so stupid! He thought to himself. "That just happens when the moon is full?" He said trying his best to cover up his rookie mistake.

  • "Oh, okay. Whatever." she said, shrugging. "So...This is weird, thinking about how I've technically followed you and all..."
