Nilei sighed she was bored of laying in the sun and wanted to do something fun.

Briarkit glanced at Nilei for a split second before nudging her mother and pointing at the warrior. Ivywing gave her a quick nod and a few carefully chosen words before Briarkit scuttled over to Nilei. "Can you show me a warrior defense move?" She asked, not sure of the warrior's name but wanting to learn something in her spare time.

"Your a little young, but I guess it could not hurt to teach you a simple defense move if its ok with your mother." Nilei said smiling.

"She said it would be alright until Russetstar gave us the signal to move." Briarkit said with a squeaky voice, angry with herself at her seemingly tiny voice. Ivywing kept one eye on Russetstar while her other watched Briarkit and her tail curled around Shadekit.

"If another lion is running towards you put your forelegs out like this" she said sticking one of her frontlegs out to the side "and you might trip your enemy."

IC: Briarkit squeaked in excitement, bouncing twice before turning serious. "Can I pretend attack you, so I can how you do the move?" She asked as she started prowling cub-like around Nilei.

"Sure I don't see why not" Nilei said swishing her tail from side to side.

"Great!" Briarkit exclaimed, wriggling her haunches and jumping with claws put away, at Nilei's front legs from the right side. She wasn't so small anymore, nearly old enough to be an apprentice, though she knew she'd always be smaller than her fellow clanmates because of her being a tigon.

Nilei stuck out her right leg trying to stop Briarkits attack.

Briarkit yelped in surprise when she toppled right underneath Nilei from being tripped, a bit irritated that she'd not tried the element of surprise herself. "Again?" She asked, poking her head out from beneath the warrior.

"Maybe later, rest first, think about what you can do different this time" Nilei said.

Briarkit eventually nodded, hauling herself out from underneath Nilei and scrambled in front of Nilei in deep thought. Think, think, think... She thought to herself with a frown.

Russetstar smiled as he watched Nilei practice with Briarkit, as she crawled out from under the warrior, Briarkit was getting to old to be a kit. Russetstar stood up from his favorite shady spot and leaped up onto Highrock. I think i know the perfect mentor for her. "May all lions old enough to catch their own prey. Gather below Highrock for a clan meeting!"
