  • Annalese opened her mouth to respond, but he had already ran away. She sighed, leaning against a tree to steady herself. Why didn't you just kill him? She scolded herself, looking after him with sad eyes.

Sighing, she went after him. Slowly, not nearly as fast as Zac. Reluctance slowed her steps until she saw him sleeping in the tree. With little effort, she jumped up the tree, quickly and silently swinging onto the branch next to his.

Watching him, Annalese felt sadness rise inside of her. I just ruined his life.

  • He woke up as she jumped onto the branch, immediately feeling the small vibration she caused. He stared at her with hateful eyes. Zac sighed and averted his gaze from hers, ignoring her. He knew that he would never be the same. Ever. Zac leaned against the tree trunk and closed his eyes again, not sleeping, but thinking over everything that had happened to him, and how he would have to start a rumor that he had been mauled by a bear and died in the woods so that people wouldn't be suspicious. He jumped down from the tree landing in a crouching postion before walking into town.

Why couldn't she have just drained me like she does to every other person that hunts her? he questioned himself. He walked over to his old house and just sat on his bed, staring at his personal belongings. Maybe he could just live peacefully in the town, but it was a slim possibility that it could work.

  • Annalese watched sighing as he walked away. I'm sorry... The words were on the tip of her tongue although she didn't speak them as she watched him walk away. "I am so, so sorry." She whispered, her words dropping somewhere at the bottom of the tree.

Annalese stood up, then promptly sat down, too tired to walk home.

  • Zac sighed and sat on his bed, elbows on his knees, supporting his head in his hands and moving it to cover his face and he groaned. He then got up and stared at the TV before walking out of his house and darted away before anyone would see him and back into the gloomy forest. "Where are you?" he called, his voice echoing throughout the forest, making him feel even more alone.

He stalked around, wanting to talk to the woman that had screwed up his life forever, something that she couldn't just take back and say sorry. It was something that he had to live with for the rest of his life, and he had already killed his first human, which must have been some kind of milestone, but not one that he was proud of. It made him feel like an animal, cannibalistic and he wished that she would've have just killed him.

  • Annalese sat in the tree, half asleep. Blonde hair blowing across her ashen face, she seemed almost peaceful. Annalese faintly heard a voice, but was too tired to acknowledge it. She instead leaned back on the trunk, closing her eyes and tilting her head to face the wind.

  • Zac growled in frustration and slammed his fist into a tree and it splintered beneath his rock hard skin making it splinter and wood chips flew all over the place.

    ooc: extremely low muse.

  • ooc} ugh. Same here.

Annalese yelped, hearing the tree splinter beneath her. She saw Zac and growled softly, jumping out of the tree and glaring at him. "What do you want?" She growled, clenching her fists and turning her gaze to the tree.
