  • Clary tilted her head and stepped back. "Whaddya mean? Its not like they're looking for me or anything. I mean, you can't really get caught if no one even cares to look for you."

  • "Curfew. People who are under 18 can't be out this late. I assume you're under 18...Ah, I don't think anyone cares too much. We'll be fine."

  • Clary nodded. "Exactly." She absently tucked a strand of dirty, knotted red-orange hair behind her ear and looked up at Kolby. "So, were do you live?"

  • "About half a mile from here." he told her, starting to walk. "Hey, what's your real name?"

  • Clary followed Kolby happily. "Well, my full name is Clarrisa Hollen Garroway. People back at the Homeless Centre call me Clary, though." She answered truthfully, her fingers fiddling with a strand of hair.

  • (Holy mole`, is she related to Leo?)

"Oh, I thought you were lying back there, about your name. My full name is Kolby Kieran VanDamme." he told her, his hands in his pockets.

  • (No...I just ran out of normal sounding last names XD)
Clary shook her head. "I may not say something straight forward, but I never lie." She said truthfully, her hand laced at the back of her head. It looked like she was lounging while she was walking.

  • (That would have been a cool plot connector thingy xD I have an amazing vocabulary, don't I?)

"That's a good quality. We'll probably get along well." he told her, his eyes set on the sky. They emerged from the forest, but were nowhere near the center. He seemed to know where he was going as he walked along the sidewalk.

  • Clary smiled to herself and looked around. "Are you sure you know were we're going?"

  • "Pretty sure." he answered. He did know, didn't he? This was the right street, right? He looked around, spotting a decrepit old house that was slumped drunkenly to one side. Yes, he remembered that house. That was where all the addicts hung out...
He moved a bit faster as he walked along the street, and waved for Clary to keep up. He hated this part of town, but at least he knew where they were.

  • Clary easily caught up with Kolbly, her long, bone-thin legs keeping his fast stride. "Whats wrong?"

  • "This isn't my favourite part of town...I used to live here." he said, distracted. They emerged on a main road and he led her down a well lit street that branched off of it.

  • Clary looked around with confusion. "It looked fine to me."
OOC: I should be done in a few minutes

  • "It has bad memories for me, I guess." he shrugged, stepping up the fleight of stairs to his and his roommate's apartment. He fiddled with his keys for a moment before opening the door and doing a small, dramatic bow to Clary. "After you."
    (awesomeness :DD)

  • Clary stiffled a giggle at his sweep of the arm. She bowed her head slightly and said in a fake, heavy accent, "Thank you, sir." She stepped through the door and looked around, a smiled on her face.
(Just 2 or 3 more mins)

  • (Take your time :D)

Kolby flicked on the lights, and instantly the main room was illuminated. A inflatable bed sat in the corner with a person swathed in blankets sleeping on it, who didn't seem to notice or care that the lights were on. An aquarium with a 5-foot long ball python sat across from the bed, and all it looked like was a big pile of snake in the corner. Posters plastered the walls, one or two of them actually having Kolby on them, while others were simply collectors items, all signed. Directly in front of them was the kitchen. It was small and cramped but Kolby found it comfortably quaint. A very short hallway branched from the main room and disappeared around the corner, leading to the bathroom and Kolby's room. There was a couch, a TV, a laptop on the coffee table, and a multitude of video games stacked underneath the coffee table.
It was a small, but somehow warm and pleasant, and in Kolby's mind, it was better than having a mansion.

  • Clary grinned happily, her face lighting up. She was going to talk in a normal voice until she saw the other person sleeping, so she said her words in a whisper. "Nice place, Kolbly." She spotted the posters of him and raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

  • (Because I stalk your profile, I just realize you have a fantastic taste in music. I'm guessing it's the Black Keys, right? :3)

"It's a reminder of how far I've come," he laughed. "I'm not too conceited..."

  • (Gah! Stalker! JK...And yes, it is the Black Keys XD)
Clary nodded to herself in thought. Then she turned to him. "Thanks for 'adopting' me, Kolby...But were am I going to sleep?"

  • "Anywhere, really." he shrugged. "I could take the couch if you want and you could have my room. It's up to you."
