OOC: Actually, I did come across his bio the other day. Regardless, Horseflight approves... x3
Horseflight smiled a little, but her head was still down. "I know," she purred, flicking the tip of her tail.
Her lament subsided, and she sat up a bit. "Actually, I don't. My father was a loner...
One of the calico's ears rotated suddenly, as if something had just occurred to her. "But my mother knew this old she-cat, back in Twolegplace. I think she had heard about the clans from her." -
Cyrill smiled. "You're lucky, you could at least blend in when other clan cats ask your name. I'd stick out like a sore thumb." he gave an awkward shutter to the thought of being in the middle of a clan camp, alone, and having his kittypet name.
OOC: Should they be mates later on? >.> <.<
-
OOC: Might as well be, their fate's already been sealed at this point... x3 (Bah, one-liner! Dx)
Her whiskers twinged, "I guess so. But I don't know if I'd join a clan..."
-
"They do tend to be a bit...traditional..and orderly. As loners, we're free" He put a huge grin on his face as the thunder rumbled. He jumped, his long hair fluffing out everywhere...he looked like a ridiculously overpuffed plush toy.
-
We?
As the thunder boomed, the black fur along the calico's spine stood up straight. Seeing Cyrill's reaction, Horseflight snorted, barely able to contain herself.
The storm died down after that one last thunderclap, as if it had used up all it's energy for the finale. The sun was gradually freed from it's cloud prison, and blazed strongly once again. It's glow tinted the plants golden, reflecting off Horseflight's cerulean-colored orbs. Stepping outside she stretched out the entire length of her body, she had grown stiff sitting there all that time. "You can relax now," she chortled; "No more thunder for now."
-
"Oh, ha-ha." he said sarcastically, brushing down his fur, "At least I don't sound like a piggy when I try to hold in my laughter." He frantically rushed down his fur in embarrassment.Admiring the sky's orange sherbert color all the while. "This is very odd, I usually don't see a sky like this."
-
Smirking, she boxed his ears playfully. "Hey, watch yourself furball."
Horseflight tilted her head, examining the horizon for herself. The showers must have keeping the sun at bay for the moon, until it could rise itself. A chorus of crickets were already chirping away, making the she-cat's ears perk up intently. "The sun will probably be setting soon..."
-
"Mhm." He stood up, "Time to find a place to stay.." He got up an started to walk away, he turned to the she-cat, "I know of this little shed out in the fields, you can come with if you'd like." He didn't know her, but she was nice right off the bat, how bad could she be? "Then again, he thought to himself, "She could be a snorer..."
-
Though of course no cat could've seen it under her fur, the calico's entire skin was burning with embarrassment. Horseflight racked her brains trying to come up with something to beat around Cyrill's question. "Who ever said anything about me being tired?" Then the idea hit her like a blind sparrow. Grinning deviously, she meowed; "Race ya' to the lake!" And off she went.
-
Cyrills eyes widened, "Hey cheater!" He sprinted after her only tail lengths away. "You better keep up, Horseflight." He giggled to himself as he barely passed her, but there was still a lot of tail lengths before they reached the lake. It could go either way.
OOC: Hey you should check out my site I'm building: please? (:

Her wind-charged euphoria building, the calico laughed heartily.
"Ha, not even in your dreams, furball!" She stretched out her hind limbs to carry herself along farther, and began picking up speed.Horseflight felt so- light. Like the wind itself... It hadn't been like this since she was a kit, trying to outrun the foals on the farm. Like a sudden gust of wind, she now realized just how much she missed it.
-
Breathing rather heavily, Cyrill tried to keep up with her, truth was his leg muscles werent built up enough to keep up, damn his kittypet life.
-
The lakefront in her sights, Horseflight put on the breaks. Black paws grating the grass, she unsheathed her claws to gain traction. But the calico had stopped far too short, and started barreling downhill.
-
Cyrill took notice of the calico rolling and sped up, unsure if it was a winning tactic or a real problem, but the lake was within 15 tail lengths, surely she wouldn't risk barreling into the water....would she?
-
At first, her thrill ride was enjoyable. But as she tumbled, she herself began to grow nervous.
By the time her fall slowed, she was mere feet away from the water's edge. Up ahead, a fallen branch sat in her path. Eyes squeezed shut, she braced for impact. Ricocheting off the log, her adventure ended in an expanse of pine tree branches.
Limbs flailing, she attempted to right herself. The whole time, bathed in the sharp scent of pine.
-
Cyrill skidded to a hault and dashed toward the calico, "Are you alright?" He asked dragging tree limbs off of her. She looked a mess with pine needles all over her.
-
She began by snickering, and then that grew into an absolute hysterical laugh. "I'm fine, furball," mused the calico. Heck, I'd do that again!" She rose on her sturdy white limbs, and banished the needles from her white splotched fur. Swaying freely was her black tipped tail, now freed from the tangled mess.
-
Cyrill couldnt help laughing, "That's the most idiotic thing I've seen a cat do in a long time!" His words obviously didnt pass through the SHUT UP filter in his brain...though he didnt seem to notice
-
Horseflight whacked the tabby tom harshly with her thick white tail, looking at him cynically. "Oh, really? I guess you're not counting yourself then, are you?"
The skewbald she-cat tested each of her paws, making sure there were no severe injuries. Satisfied, she strode forward, continuing towards her destination at a much calmer gait. "Come on Cyrill, let's get to the lake. Besides, I'm thirsty."
