The clan of new beginings ~ {HP Open, Badge }

Many years ago, far before the four main clans rose, a different breed ruled the forests. These cats were many times larger, their sizes like our today varied, though they were seperated by coat. Twolegs feared these strong creatures. The lions with their flowing manes, the cheetahs with their outstanding speed spots, The thick coat of a hidden puma.

These cats before our time were all mighty. They had nothing to fear but eachother for even the shadows shrunk away from them. They were strong and brave, and truly unforgetable creatures. Yet still these cats hated difference, they were who they were, and that was all mighty.

It is said that the territory in which The clan of beginings rest upon was once the same camp the mightiest of lions called home. These lions stood out among the rest, their coats useless for camoflage in the thick forest. These were the white lions. Ferocious and exotic, these cats stood out among the rest, they weren't accepted for their differences, and now centuries later, their words have finally been heard.

" Differences are what seperates one cat from another, and everything is difference, so let those who have been titled unacceptable unite together, and show the forest that difference is truly wonderful"

The clan of new beginings is a place where the past is something that no longer exists, unless it is the past of your ancestors. None of your past actions are remembered or matter as soon as you cross the border.

These cat's follow the words of their ancient ancestors. Any cat, no matter how different, no matter what his past holds, will always have a future in this clan. This is the clan of second chances, the clan that remembers the past, and the clan of new beginings.

These cats have never once believed in Starclan, though instead turn towards The White Stars of The Night which is where their ancestors, as far back as the stories go, have moved onto.

It is also believed each and every cat holds withing them the spirit of a white tiger which is truley their own spirit, which will be released from their body the moment before they die to join The White Stars of The Night in endless peace and joy.

The first night

The first night is a ceremony dedicated to a cat who has joined the clan previously that day. During this ceremony the newcomer will be guided to the center of the camp and onto the Speaking Stone a stone which is used by the leader for ceremonies and announcements, in other words, their version of the High Stone. During this ceremony the newcomer will stand by his lonesome on the stone, with the entire clan facing him. When the moon reaches it's highest point in the sky the newcomer will tell everyone his past, no matter how horrid or awful, yet as they speak The White Stars of The Night will let the words that fall from the newcomers mouth vanish, and soon every memory of the past will either vanish entirely or be very foggy to the newcomer. Afterwards The White Stars of The Night will grant the newcomer with his/her new name by showing them their true spirit and whispering the name in their ear for only them to hear.

New moon

This is a large ceremony in which the clan Poet will be spoken to by their ancestors. Their ancestors will whisper a prophecy to reveal the future for the next moon to the poet. The poet may only say what was said to them, and may not say what it means. Though if the news is good, their is a large feast followed dancing and repeating the prophecy several times in cheer.

New love

Two cats will not officially become mates until this ceremony. In ways, it is their ceremony of marriage. The tom may not be the she-cats mate without first asking her father or leader for this cats spirit to be joined with his before asking the she-cat himself. Once all is settled the new couple will stand upon the Speaking Stone and promising their love and protection over eachother. After their may be another feast followed my celebratory dancing in which their names are cheered several times. Afterwards, the new couple are granted with presents and promises from family and friends as well as a special gift from their leader. As they sleep they will dream of their spirits becoming one.

Final battle

This is celebrated only by those who participated in the battle. Not only will they feast but each and everyone will be granted with a spirit tooth, which is a large tooth which hangs off what looks to be a thick peice of string. It means each cat is honorable and it is a great honor to recieve one though it may only be worn until the next battle and may only be worn in camp. These cats will be treated with the highest respect.

Parting of a friend

This celebration happens when a cat dies or leaves the clan. All clanmates leave the camp to travel to the center of their forest where a small lily tree grows in the center of a clearing. Here they bury the cats body underneath a tree and the leader say farewell while clanmates repeat his words. The family of this cat will be those who bury it and a spirit tooth will be placed on one of the branches of the tree to represent the lost of a friend. The entire clan sits vigil around the tree all night, wishing silent farewells to the cat. Only a dawn may they leave.

A new second

When a new deputy is chosen they sit among the rock, and there they tell tell their promises and wishes to the clan. It is also the only moment when their memories may come back to them if they were ever an outsider though it lasts for only the period that they stand there. if the warrior agrees to become second in command there will be a huge celebration in which the deputy will be brought the largest prey to feast upon along with his family to share it with. From then until midnight, the deputy commands the ceremony and the clan until moonhigh in which the leader takes over once again.

The welcoming of little ones

When new kits are born they will not recieve their names until they can walk, until that tim they are given temporary and simple names. When they are old enough to stand among the Speaking stone they each see their own tiger spirits before them and experience them entering their bodies. It is not painful but in fact delightful and for the moment makes the kits feel overwhelming strength and satisfaction. Afterwards they to will be whispered their names by their spirits and announce them to the clan.

- Only the poet recieves prophecies
- Only the poet may say the prophecies
- You may not ask the poet about prophecies.
- You will give training your all.
- New warriors will sit vigil outside the camp all night.
- New apprentices will sit vigil outside the camp all night.
- You do not attack another cat without good reason.
- Anyone crossing our borders will immediatly be brought to camp.
- The Lily tree may only be visited during ceremonies or to visit a lost loved one.
- The speaking stone is for only the leader or ceremonies.
- Pray will not be wasted.
- You will always help someone in need, no matter what clan they are from.
- Always Respect your leader!
- Medicine cats may have kits, though only if their apprentice is ready to take over for them for the time being.
