The branch was so low that he didn't need to climb the tree to reach it, Rippleshadow narrowed his eyes and fixed them onto the sparrow, leaping up in a twisted jump and snagging the bird onto his claws.
Foxpaw had calculated the attack and was already out of the way.
Nightpaw stumbled forward as his blow missed, he lay on the ground exhausted and yelped " Can... we... take a... break? " He said tiredly. He had to admit Foxpaw was a good fighter, he thought about asking Foxpaw to teach him some moves in combat, it could change any battle all around for victory or death in certain situations.
She nodded and flopped down where she was standing.
Rippleshadow landed back on the ground with the sparrow still attached to his claws.
Frostgaze watched, her jaw opening in awe. The rabbit dropped to the ground and she mewed to Rippleshadow, "Um what were you saying about not being good at hunting? That seemed pretty good to me!"

Frostgaze laughed, "I bet you were just being modest." The she cat picked up her scrawny rabbit and padded over. "Do you think we'll be able to find anything else or should we head back?"

Nightpaw mewed "I'm gonna go sip some water, be right back." He jogged along to the river. Once there he sipped some water, he sat down for a few moments then got back up. He walked over back to Foxpaw and mewed "You wanna come with me to see if there is any place for us to sleep, I mean that you might be exhausted as well from the battle, but as you can see I'm all worn out."
She looked at him, "I'm fine, I'll sleep with all the other apprentices now."
Nightpaw slowly walked to the Makeshift Apprentice's Den with his eyes closing he lay down and slept.
(*dances* ooh yah I levelled up to Prate ship hunter!)
Foxpaw watched him go and sighed.

Frostgaze nodded, "I wonder how Foxpaw and Nightpaw are?" She mewed, placing her rabbit on the small freshkill pile as they reached the makeshift camp.

As Nightpaw slept he had a nightmare, he was in the forest lost at night and could barely see where he was going, he started to run and then tripped. He tried to regain his balance but he couldn't manage it felt like something was pulling him before he went any further he tried shaking himself and woke up with a yelp.
