Erect semi-pointed ears listened out for any signs of life, and a large midnight-black canine was like a shadow in the early autumn breeze. He had heard of the Clans from his mother as a pup in the mountains, though he had never expected he would come here to join. The wolf knew it was necessary, after his pack had been take over by rogues and other packs rejected him, these clans were his last hope.
The male sat down at the border, waiting for a cat to notice him. It would be pretty easy to spot a large beast such as himself, though whether one cat would approach him was a different matter.

  • Foxkit padded catiously through the trees, her small russet paws sinking lightly in to the marshy ground. Her round copper eyes took in every detail of the wolf, but she wasn't scared of him one bit. Not even when she saw his big, black paws and long snout which she assumed held more teeth then she could possibly count.

Foxkit crept closer, her tail dragging against the ground noisily. She wanted to call out to the magnificent creature and await the answers to her thousand questions she would ask, but she had to force it down. Who knows what it would do when it saw such a small, vulnerable, mewing kit strolling around it? But as she neared two meters, no one, from him it was nearly impossible. She leapt from the bushes in which she had been hiding, her voice an excited squel,"Hello! What's your name?" So what if she got caught by the older cats in the clan. What would they do? Make her clean the nursery? Change the bedding? Whatever.

She held her tail up high in a welcoming manner, her eyes bright with interest and awe. It was a look she wouldn't dare to show this trespasser if it were a cat. But a wolf deserved such a look, for a wolf was strong, fast and loyal. Or at least that was what she had heard.

The beast glanced down, deep blue eyes wide as he spotted a small feline. He tilted his head slightly, ears flicking in curiosity, this must be a cat pup - or whatever they called them. The canine lowered his shoulders so his head was now level to the small feline that had spoken, his gaze was surprisingly warm.
"Hello, young one." The wolf greeted, he had learned cat tongue while on his travels, and was pretty fluent in the language, "My name's Painted Shadow, but you can call me Painted." He hesitated to see if the cat-pup was going to say anything, before asking politely, "And who may you be?"

  • She couldn't help but be surprised at the massive canine's gentle voice, and even more so that it was in cat."I'm Foxkit," she purred, then added,"you have a very, very pretty name. Hey! It sounds almost like a warrior name." She twitched her ears nervously."You're not a warrior, are you?" Foxkit had heard of wolves and other creatures being in clans but was too young to recognize the other clans' scents. But god she hoped he wasn't, he seemed like such a nice guy not the type she wanted to see be ripped apart by the older cats.

Painted Shadow gave a soft sigh, "Thank you, but no young one, I am not a warrior." He than raised his shoulders and head up again, so he as sitting as he was at first, now looking down to the feline with perfectly round, blue eyes.
"I am actually here to see a high rank of your clan," Painted said, his semi-rounded ears flicking lightly in the cool breeze, "I would like to ask them something." The wolf shuffled to make himself more comfortable in the marshy forest floor, his short tail placed neatly over one of his large paws.

  • Foxkit flicked her tail slowly from side to side. The russet tip brushed gently against the layer of pine needles and marsh mud beneath her."You mean like Pheonixnight and Pegannight?" she breathed. Her ears flattened against her head at the thought. She hadn't expected that-- she could do with the queens' punishments but one of the leaders of ShadowClan? No, they wouldn't waste thier time worrying about her when they had so many other things to worry about. Worst that could happen was maybe a nick in the ear or a serious talk about straying away from camp without supervision.

She spun around on her hindpaws and trotted in the direction of the camp, looking back to check if the wolf was following."The camp is this way," Foxkit reassured, pointing with her paw a line of pine trees.

The inky black wolf nodded and got to his paws, following the cat pup that was about the size of his muzzle. He tail waved behind him, this really was one of his last chances, after all, he doubted any other clan would accept him.
Painted looked around, the pine reminding him a lot of his home in the mountains, and he let a small sigh pass his lips, but shook his head and focused of following the small russet coloured she-cat.
    ooc;; sorry for low muse!

  • OOC|| Should we make a thread in the leader's den or bring them here?

Foxkit passed through the camp entrance, nodding to the NPC warriors whom guarded it and ignoring their bewildered stares. She padded confidently across the camp, her tail raised high and a bounce edging its way in her walk.

"The den is over there," she turned back to look at the giant canine. She was refering to the clump of bushes at the very end of camp, guarded by yet more NPC warriors."Is it okay if I go in with you? I have nothing better to do after all," she mewed. She made puppy dog eyes, making sure to widen her copper orbs to add extra cuteness.

Painted Shadows hesitated, before shaking his head, "I think it would be best for your leaders to meet me out here, this way I do not pose such a threat." He said simply, "Do you think you could do that for me? I'll wait out side camp." The ambled bodied canine asked, looking down to the small, and obviously pleading cat-pup before him.
ooc;; Can we ask them here? If it's okay with them x3

  • "Alright!" Foxkit nodded eagerly before rushing into the leader's den. Inside, she slowed down her pace and peered into the shadows. She called out for both of the leaders, then sat down patiently, tail flicking to and fro behind her.

    OOC|| low muse.

The wolf yawned, exposing long white canines along with jagged molars, he had such a trek getting here, if they rejected him, his journey would have been for nothing, and to him, that would probably finish him then and there.
Trying not to think of what could go wrong, Painted decided to think on the positive side, he would get to meet ShadowClan's leader, possibly become a warrior? Who knew, all he knew was that if he was to be accepted, he would defiantly defend the clan with his life.
As Painted watched Foxkit scampered away to the leaders den, he became a bit more anxious, they wouldn't chase him out, surely? After all, he was a wolf, they had to give him some respect, just as Painted was to them.
