• "Maybe something triggered them, or maybe your mind just couldn't keep them hidden anymore." Ansel told her gently, stroking her hair. "Whatever the reason, we'll help you through it."

Steve through his bag onto his porch and quickly went back down his driveway. "C'mon, let's hurry." he murmured, beginning to feel worried about his son.

Emerald had begun to have what seemed to be a massive hallucination attack, at least, that's what Bryn thought. "Em, it's okay sweetie. It's okay, that's not happening."
"You have to tell Lucina to run!" he cried, panting and shaking. "She has to leave me behind! I'm hurt, she can't carry me on her own! She had to get to safety!" he clutched his mother's shirt. "No, no just leave me here I'll be fine!" he looked around, seeing something that Bryn couldn't. He went silent for a moment, seemingly content, before he gasped and suddenly clutched his head and sank down, screaming. He had reached the part of his hallucination where he had been shot in the heart.

    Spirit nodded quietly.
Kid's yellow eyes opened wearily and looked around. His vision was blurry and he was confused, until he saw Olette. "Oh no." he groaned. "I died, didn't I? You're an angel. I'm definitely dead, darn it."

  • Lucina was silent for a moment before she buried her face in her father's shirt. "Mom, Dad..." She shook. "I love you," She looked into Ansel's eyes. "I never got to say that then. When you were dead."
Erica smiled gently. "We love you too." She whispered, stroking her hair.

Bryson burst in the door, shifting as he entered. He froze when he saw Emerald. "What's happening to him?!" He shouted, suddenly terrified.

Olette looked perplexed for a moment, then shook her head. "No, I'm not an angel. Some people would call me a demon, in fact. Except for Mom; Mom just calls me a mistake," She leaned up, done bandaging him. "And you're not dead, either. Which is amazing, considering the wound you have. You need to get it fixed," She said. The interesting thing about Olette was the fact that her short dress, her hairstyle, and basically all her features were symmetrical.

  • Ansel clutched his daughter close to him, glad for the close bond they had. "We love you so much Lucina. Never forget that." he told her softly, kissing her head.

Bryn was kneeling next to Emerald and rubbing his back to try and calm him down. The screaming slowly stopped and he simply crouched there, trembling. "I-I don't know. He was hallucinating I think. He kept saying something about Lucina and running away but I don't understand why. Then he suddenly just started screaming..." she held her son protectively, looking as scared as Bryson felt.

Steve quietly stepped forward and knelt next to Emerald. He felt his pulse for a moment and frowned. "I'm not sure what could have caused the hallucinations. His blood is infected by poison, I can feel it in his bloodstream, but it's an easy fix." he paused, looking up at Bryson. "I need your approval though. In order to fix this poison, I have to kill him. Since he's a vampire I can feed him some of my blood without it turning him. This would make is so I could kill him and he would wake up normally. The only side effect is that his personality might shift drastically, or he will obtain memories from a different dimension."

Kid smiled slightly. "I'll be fine." he murmured. "But are you sure you aren't an angel? You look very much like one. Actually, in my mind-" he froze, suddenly realizing how symmetrical she was. "You ARE an angel. Your flawless symmetrical face, your perfectly styled hair and your dress!" he exclaimed, staring at her.

  • Lucina continued to shake as tears slipped down her cheeks. "Tell me about this life. Tell me what's real. I'm confused and my head hurts," She murmured.
Erica stood slowly. "I'll get you some Tylenol. It might help your headache," She said gently, walking into the kitchen.

Bryson's fists clenched and unclenched, his nails drawing blood from his palms. He was silent for a moment, then spoke; "If you can't bring my son back, I will feel no regret in causing your immeadiate death," He said in a low growl.

Olette's eyes widened. "Uh... Are you sure you don't have a concussion?" She stared at him, not realizing this behaviour was normal.

  • Ansel gently sat on the couch with his daughter on his lap. "Well... In this life there isn't a war. Most humans don't know about vampires or werewolves." he told her gently, smiling his lopsided smile. "One of your best friends is your adopted cousin Emerald, except you two have grown apart slightly. You're a werepire like your mother and I, while Emerald is a vampire." he kissed her forehead gently again. "Nobody has died, either." he smiled.

Steve nodded briefly, grabbing his son's head with both hands. "I won't stop you. He's my son as well, Bryson. I won't forgive myself if he dies." he murmured. He lifted Emerald's face so he was looking him in the eye. "Emerald, it isn't real." he told him gently, biting his own arm to give Emerald his blood. "Don't worry. Everything will be alright." he gently pushed his arm to Emerald's mouth and watched as he hesitantly began to drink it. He made a quiet noise in the back of his throat, trying to get more blood, but Steve pulled away and grasped his head again. "This shouldn't hurt too much." he whispered and jerked Emerald's head quickly to the side.

Bryn whimpered and hugged Bryson when she saw her son's neck snap, burying her face into his shoulder.

"Of course I don't have a concussion. I'm a Reaper, Reaper's don't get concussions." Kid grumbled, not looking away from her.

  • Lucina looked confused. "Emerald's a vampire?" She murmured. Erica was coming back with a glass of water and some pills.

Bryson's eyes narrowed, instinct beginning to overcome him. For while his dark side was gone, he was still a wolf, and didn't want to stand by and watch his son get hurt. "Hold me back," He growled at Bryn, his teeth becoming fangs as his eyes turned gold.

Olette sighed. "Fine. But you're not making any sense," She tried to help him stand. "I think you're making up words. What's 'symmetry'?" She asked. Having been schooled by her mother, who found symmetry unimportant, she had never been taught about it. Little did she know she was in for a lecture.

  • Ansel frowned slightly, nodding. "Yeah. He's always been a vampire." he told her softly. "He was adopted, remember? I think you've met his real father. He's a vampire too."

Bryn's hug turned more into a way of holding Bryson back when he said that. "Don't worry." she whispered. "I-I'm sure he'll be okay." she tried to put on a reassuring smile, but it looked more like a grimace.
Steve held his son's head on his lap, waiting patiently for him to wake up. "Come on Emerald. Wake up." he whispered.

    "Oh no." Spirit groaned.
Kid stared at her quietly for a moment. "You... How could someone not know of the wonders of symmetry?!" he exclaimed. "Especially somebody with so many symmetric qualities? My dear Angel, Symmetry is one of the best things on this planet!" he told her. "Symmetry is the pure definition of beauty! It is when something is so wonderful that both sides look exactly alike. If you folded the object in half, everything would line up perfectly, such as yourself."

  • Lucina frowned. "That's weird. He's supposed to be a werewolf," She said. Erica knelt next to her, handing her the pills and water.
"This'll help with your headache," She smiled gently.

Bryson was starting to shake with rage. "If he doesn't wake up in five seconds, I'm ripping your head off your shoulders, vampire," He snarled, beginning to pull forward.

Olette was starting to back away. "Um... Okay. Thanks for the information," She smiled awkwardly. "But I don't really want to be folded in half. And my name's not Angel, it's Olette. And I'm not an Angel, and you're not dead."

  • Ansel raised an eyebrow quietly, waiting for Lucina to take the medicine before he replied. "He's supposed to be a werewolf? As in, he used to be one in the other dimension?" he asked, a slight frown creasing his eyebrows and changing his usually happy demeanor.

Bryn planted her feet and tried to hold Bryson back, but just ended up being pulled with him.
Steve glared at Bryson. "Calm down. It might take a while, okay? He should wake up in the next-" he broke off when Emerald stirred slightly. At first, it was just a simple twitch of his finger, then his head moved slightly. Suddenly, his body convulsed and he jerked up, gasping for air like a fish out of water. He looked around with his wide emerald eyes in confusion. "What the- Where am I? Where's Luc, is she alright?" he automatically asked. "She was asking weird questions and then I passed out or something. Why does my neck hurt... and why does Dad look like he's going to kill someone?"

Kid looked slightly disappointed. "Your name isn't Angel? Are you sure, because it suits you. You're very symmetrical."
"That's him saying you're pretty." Spirit whispered.

  • Lucina nodded as she swallowed the pill and flushed it down with the water. "Yeah. And he really was Aunt Bryn's son, not just adopted." She murmured.

Bryson instantly relaxed, his teeth, eyes, and nails going back to normal. "You can let go of me now, Bryn," He told his wife.

Olette blushed slightly. "Uh... Thank you?" She said, but then remembered that he was most likely a vampire hunter, since he might've killed Emerald. "Will he hate me if I tell him what I am?" She thought, watching her feet.

  • Ansel's eyes widened slightly. "Really? Are you sure about that?" he asked, running his hand through his already messy hair. "Was he the same age as you?"

Bryn hesitated a bit before she slowly let go. She silently rushed forward and embraced Emerald, crying freely again. "I was so scared you were gone." she whispered, her grip tightening around him.
Emerald looked over his mom's shoulder at his dad in confusion. "Why? What happened."
Steve only smiled and stood quietly, ruffling his hair. "I'll let Bryn and Bryson explain. I have something I have to take care of, involving the poison that infected you."

"Eh! Don't look down like that, the top of your head isn't as pretty as your face!" Kid exclaimed. He automatically turned red, hardly ever having said the word pretty before.

  • Lucina nodded again. "Yeah. I think so. We were battle partners. But then there was that night..." She suddenly began shaking and buried her head in her Dad's shirt again. "H-he got shot, so I was carrying him, but we were being chased. He told me to leave him, and I promised to come back for him. But just when I was a few feet away, there was that awful gunshot..." She began sniffing.

Bryson glanced at Steve. "Where are you going?" He asked.

Olette shook er head. "No... You won't think I'm pretty..." She suddenly shouted, "I'M A VAMPIRE!" Her eyes watched Kid's face, waiting for his reaction.

    {ooc: Are we shipping OletteXKid now? XD IF IT FITS, IT SHIPS. LOL}

  • Ooc: XD Good motto!

Ansel smiled grimly. "Well, he's fine now. I don't think he'll be going anywhere soon." he told her gently, trying to comfort her.

"It's a vampire thing, you wouldn't get it. I just think I know who shot him, that's all." Steve said, shrugging.

Kid's face remained normal for a second as he processed the information. It didn't take him long to automatically show his disgust through his expression, which he quickly tried to hide. "I- Are you sure? Maybe you just have a disease or something?" he asked.

  • Lucina sniffed. "Good. I don't want him to get hurt... He was all I had, and I was all he had. We'd lost everything but each other," She whispered.

Bryson was about to follow, but took another look at Emerald and sighed. "I'll stay here. With my wife and son," He murmured, going to stand by them.

Olette flinched at his expression. "No, my Mom's a vampire. I know that. She'll lure men in and then drain their blood. I hate her," She whispered, wrapping her arms around herself. "But... I kinda have a phobia of blood..." She said sheepishly. "I'm a pathetic vampire. That's what everyone tells me, and I know it's true."

  • Ansel sighed and wrapped his arms around her again in a comforting way. "Don't worry, sweetheart. You have your mother and I now, we won't let you lose anything."

Steve nodded quietly and smiled in a slightly regretful way; regretting that he never had that future with his son. "Good choice. If any vampire other than me comes to the door, don't answer."

Kid didn't say anything for a moment, but slowly began to nod. "That's okay. We can work with that. You're still an angel, just sort of a... fallen angel."

  • Lucina nodded. "That's good. Thank you," She whispered. "I know I said it a little while ago, but... I really do love you. A lot," She yawned.

Bryson nodded to Steve before he sat next to Emerald, smiling a little. "Hey. How are you doing?" He asked, ruffling his hair.

Olette blushed a little again. "So, um... What were you doing in the woods? Before you, you know, decided to shoot my friend," She asked casually, shuffling her feet.

  • Ansel smiled. "I love you too. You should get some rest, you must be exhausted." he said, standing with her in his arms. "On the couch or in your room?"

Emerald looked up at his dad, his usually bright and adventurous green eyes having lost a little of their light. "I'm alright. A bit confused and tired, and my neck is sore, but I'm alright." he murmured, not even bothering to grumble about his dad ruffling his hair like he normally would have. "Do you happen to know how Lucina is?"

Kid thought for a moment and turned slightly red. "Oh. Well we were sorta lost, trying to find our way home from this mission thing that we had failed. Actually, we succeeded in that mission once we found your friend. I can't tell you why, though." he said the last part quickly before she asked any questions.

  • Lucina yawned again. "Anywhere's fine..." She murmured, her eyes drifting closed as she laid in her father's arms.

Bryson tilted his head a little bit like a confused puppy. "I... Think she's fine. She's home with her parents, isn't she?" He said.

Olette sighed. "All right," She murmured, sighing. "Does... It have something to do with what one of our friends said? Something about Emerald not supposed to have been born? And that he would mess things up?"
