  • Cobrapaw

The young she-cat padded toward the apprentice den, unsure of herself. She had just been named an apprentice today, being six moons old and all. Settling herself down on the soft earth, she watched her Clanmates go about their business. I wonder who will become my mentor... I hope whoever it is will be a great mentor. She thought as she watched the other cats.

If you are interested in becoming Cobrapaw's mentor, her bio is Here: http://warriorcatsrpg.com/index.php?topic=704196.new#new

  • Hawkstripe padded by her, "Hello." he said to the new apprentice. His son, Jaypaw, was next to him. He smiled at the newer apprentice. "You see, she is a new apprentice and is already a better cat then you are or will be. Isn't that right Cobrapaw?" he meowed. He hated his son. He never wanted kits, but Hollywing wanted them.

  • Cobrapaw

She dipped her head at Hawkstripe's unexpected praise. "Y-yes, sir..." She mewed timidly, trying to keep her head as high as she could. Glancing at Jaypaw, she blinked gently toward him. Looking back up at Hawkstripe, she blinked respectfully at the warrior.

  • "Yes. Good... You are good." he kicked his son over harshly and said, "Your good for nothing!" he laughed. The apprentice hit the ground and whimpered. Hawkstripe smiled at the apprentice. "You should be my apprentice." The tom was a good warrior. He just lost himself when he didn't get what he wanted. He didn't want kits. He hated Jaypaw. The small tom was kind and nice. But eventually everyone cracks. The apprentice thought it was him. He thought he was really a bad cat.

  • Cobrapaw

Cobrapaw dipped her head once more, her ears flicking back slightly. "I-If you don't mind my asking, sir, who is Jaypaw's mentor?" She asked and then lowered herself a bit more, her timid nature exposing just a bit more. "I mean no disrespect." She added rapidly, her eyes meeting Jaypaw's with a gaze that Hawkstripe couldn't read that said: Jaypaw, I'll be your friend. I promise you I will be a good friend. She looked back up at Hawkstripe, waiting his answer.

  • "Ha! Like he needs one. He isn't going to get that far..." he said narrowing his eyes. He coughed, clearing his throat. "I mean... He has one don't you worry." Jaypaw whimpered in pain. He was kicked again.

  • Cobrapaw

She flinched at how rough Jaypaw was being treated and glanced up. "Al-Alright. Well, what're we going to do today, Hawkstripe?" She asked, desperately trying to get Hawkstripe's attention away from his son. Jaypaw's father isn't really being a good cat. I know we're DarkClan cats, but still... She thought, looking up at the warrior with gentle hazel eyes.

  • "Well... you should see the borders. His son tried to limp away. "Did I say stop following me?!" he yelled at his son. Jaypaw crawled to them and sat. "I'm -s-sorry... d-dad." he studdered. "Don't talk! I am busy!" he clawed the apprentice's ear.

  • ooc: dang.. such an abusive father! hehe

    Cobrapaw

She flinched yet again and quickly dove toward the entrance to the camp, looking back at Hawkstripe. "Alright. I'm ready..." She mewed, her tail flicking gently from side to side.

  • "Good dear. Let's be off. " he meowed. The apprentice followed behind his father. He was next to the she apprentice. He looked scared. This trip wasn't a little walk in the territory. Hawkstripe smiled. He would easily get by with this. He looked at the apprentice. "You want to stop cowering? Try this!" he pounced on his son and clawed at his chest. Jaypaw looked at the other apprentice for help.

  • Cobrapaw

Flinching, Cobrapaw unsheathed her claws and bunched her muscles up. This has gone on far enough! With a mighty leap, she landed square on Hawkstripe's shoulders and, using her front claws to hold on, began to tear at his fur with her hind paws. "Leave him be!! HE'S DONE NOTHING TO DESERVE THIS!!!" She spat, sliding her thorn sharp claws along the warrior's shoulders and flanks. With her fur bristling, she clung to him as best as she could, a fire in her eyes that showed Jaypaw she would defend him without question.

  • Hawkstripe got off of his son. He found an excuse n his mind. "I'm truely sorry. Darling little apprentice. He was being disrespectful. He was calling names and he gave me this." he showed the scar that Jaypaw gave him just then. When Jaypaw saw he opened his eyes wide with fear. The warrior could talk his way out of any situation. "Trust me, nothing like this will happen again." Jaypaw struggled to get up. He trembled. He looked at the she when his father looked away as they followed him. "Help me!" he whispered in her ear.

  • Cobrapaw

Cobrapaw nodded to Jaypaw and put her muzzle near his ear. "Don't worry, Jaypaw. If he attacks you again, I'll go straight to Mottledstar. And if Mottledstar doesn't believe me, I'll deal with Hawkstripe myself if I have to." She glanced at Hawkstripe for a moment before looking back at Jaypaw. "Why does he hate you? I've heard cats say your mother wanted kits but he didn't. I know that can't be the only reason why he hates you." She whispered, making sure her voice was low.

  • He looked down at his paws. The tom wasn't at least to his father expectations. He failed ervything he did. He couldn't hunt, fight, or even walk right. The apprentice had a limp in his hind leg. The young cat tried not to cry. Hawkstripe smiled. "Come along you two." He was determined to make the apprentice think he was good. "He wants to kill me." he meowed in her ear.

  • Cobrapaw

She seemed taken aback by Jaypaw's words. "Why?" She mewed quietly, keeping her head low as she followed the warrior deeper into the territory. Hawkstripe might be one of my Clanmates, but I won't stand for him harming my denmate.

  • "He was bringing me here to kill me." he meowed. "That's why he wouldn't let me leave him."
Hawkstripe saw the ledge to the gorge. It wasn't huge, but it was deep enough. "See this? The gorge. Jaypaw... will you take a look down..." when the apprentice didn't move or respond. The warrior yelled loudly, "Now!" he grabbed his son, dangling him off the edge. Jaypaw looked at the she. This was it. Hawkstripe was about to let go.

  • Cobrapaw

With a quick leap, Cobrapaw darted toward Hawkstripe and, with a hiss, attempted to knock the warrior away from the edge of the gorge. "Why would you kill your own son?! Rumors went around camp that you never wanted kits, but your mate did! What would you tell her if I were to tell her you killed Jaypaw?!" She spat, furious that he would dare to kill her denmate.

  • He tossed his son in the gorge. With a deffening yowl, Jaypaw disappeared over the edge. He landed with a loud crash of rocks. Hawkstripe smiled. "Oh, but darling. You couldn't talk to a dead cat." he smiled evilly. "You want to keep your pretty mouth quiet? You are such a good cat. You are now my apprentice. Keep quiet and I won't ever have a reason to kill you off myself."

  • Cobrapaw

She tensed, her fur bristling as she backed away from the warrior. No...I won't lie for you! She hissed mentally. Instantly feeling more timid than she already was, Cobrapaw darted from Hawkstripe's side, taking the path back toward camp. Tears were in her eyes as she ran into the camp. Sliding on her paws, she bundled into the apprentices' den and curled up in the nest Jaypaw had used. I'm so sorry, Jaypaw.. I tried...
