Dream shook raindrops from her long copper mane, lapping up a puddle of water formed from the storm. The mare nuzzled her foal, a chestnut filly with brown eyes named Lilac. The scrawny foal snorted and galloped after her mother, trying to keep up with Dream on her unbalanced toothpick legs. Dream paused, sniffed the early morning mountain air and halted. "Cougar!" the mare snarled, her nostrils flaring. "Come, Lilac. Follow me." the beautiful mare galloped towards a forest, with her small foal trailing closely behind. Dreams long golden mane swirled behind her, and her cream colored legs pumped with the speed of an eagle. Dream stopped by a tree. The mare paused to graze on some dry green grass, then let Lilac suckle. She rubbed her head against Lilacs neck. "Get some rest, dear,"she murmered. Dream thought back to when she was the courageous lead mare to a large pack of horses. Her entire herd was killed by wolves and shortly after she gave birth to Lilac. Lilacs father was killed with the herd. She Waited for a young stallion to notice her beauty and whisk her and Lilac into his herd but it never happened. Dream closed her chocolate colored eyes and fell asleep.
Dream needs a strong stallion and a herd!

ooc: can I join?
ic: Dawn awoke one chilly morning to see the last glimpse of the sun peaking over the horizon she sighed with appreciation at its beauty before beginning to graze on a particularly green patch of grass. She glanced up startled by what she saw a wild fire was spreading rapidly. Heat radiated from it, its blaze seemed to have no mercy as it began to spread towards her. Dawn sprung into action sprinting forwards to safety, she only looked back once and what she saw devastated her. Her friend, Morning was a defect at birth cast out of her herd because of her lame leg, Dawn had found her one day, the day when her mother died and they instantly became friends. Now as Dawn looked back she saw the terror in Morning's eyes because she knew she wouldn't make it fast enough and she nayed her last words, but Dawn couldn't make them out over the the crackle of flames, the next moment Morning was enveloped by the fire. Dawn froze, she couldn't seem to move a muscle then finally sadness in her eyes Dawn galloped away, lonely and with no hope. -
ooc: Sure!
Icc: Dream leaped to her hooves, her face hot with the warmth of the flames rapidly building around her. "Lilac! Run!" she whinneid urgently, nudging her foal toward the exit of the flaming thicket of trees. Dream galloped like mad, her golden colored mane flying behind her. Lilac stumbled and skidded into the flames. "No!" The mare whinnied, charging after her. -
OOC:can i join?
-
OCC: I'd absolutely love you to join!
Icc: Dream dragged Lilac out of the flames, her heart beating a mile a minute. The pair galloped out of the raging fire and towards a small lake surround by oak trees. Smoke floated through the air. Dream wearily nuzzled her colt and took a deep breath in. Her flesh was hot and bloody where she got burned. The young mare climbed into the water to rinse her burn, when she noticed two other horses, also escaping the fire. -
Song a six year old mare instikly went to the river.
-
Dream walked towards the other mare. "Hello," she whinnied. "I'm Dream. We should probably get going if we want to escape the fire. Your name?" (can you tell me what Song looks like?"
-
ooc: thanks
ic: Dawn galloped over to the river for a quick drink before she would flee the fire again when she saw two other horses, she nodded her head in greeting and forgetting about the drink walked over to them. -
Occ: please forgive me If my typing is unreadable, I broke my right arm and have to type with my left.
Ic: The cream colored mare herded Lilac to her side and approached the horse. "Hello," she whinnied. "If we take the trail next to the pond on the o ther side of the feild, we still might escape the fire," she didn't wait for a response. -
ic: Dawn nodded and began to follow.
-
OOC: Can i join???
River,a rare colored arabian, galloped away from the flames. She was encircled by flames. She took a breath and jumped through the flames. She felt a small hot wind and raced away from the flames. She smelled water and changed coarse to it.She took a flying leap over a last set flames and landed on the other side. She galloped into the water and stood snorting at the flames.I suddenly saw other horses and i look over curiously.
Here wat she look like---
-
OCC: yeah!
Ic: Dream flew across the feild, the sun beating down on her pale golden coat. She gave Lilac a powerful nudge, then paused to drink in the air, her chest heaving for breath. -
ic: Dawn galloped after Dream she suddenly felt a shiver of pleasure rush up her spine as the wind tangled her mane behind her.
-
Dream led the patrol of mares out of the flaming valley, carefully nudging Lilac along the way. The mare gasped for breath, the smell of smoke still lingering in her nostrils. She surveyed her surroundings, the mares had come across a beautiful feild with a stream trickling down the middle. The mare's creamy golden mane fell in front of her light brown eyes as she stopped to take a sip of water. "My name is Dream," She whinnied to the other mares. "And my foal is Lilac." the little filly poked her small brown head out behind her mother. "Hello," she whinnied shyly. Lilac was a 6 month old colt, with a thin brown body, large hazel eyes, and a white blaze running down her nose. Dream was a palimino mare with long, tumbling creamy white mane and big brown eyes.
-
ic: Dawn's feeling of freedom suddenly vanished when she took a breath and the smoke filled her lungs she remembered her friend Morning and how the flames claimed her crippled body. Dawn couldn't see the scene as beautiful anymore, it all seemed tainted, a deception. Dawn shook her head to snap out of the sad memories and she bobbed her head, "I'm Dawn." Dawn's heart seemed a little empty but when she saw the foal, Lilac she couldn't help but stop a grin from splitting her face, she loved watching little foals, them and their mischievous ways.
-
"Your friend," Dream whinnied softly, not knowing if she should bring it up. "I saw it. I know-" the mare closed her eyes, thinking of the night where the wolf
pack had struck her herd. "It's hard. Do you need anything? Are you alright?" -
ic: Dawn felt a sharp pain but she ignored it, "I'm fine, but it'd be great to have a friend." She looked curiously at Dream to see if she thought her foolish for thinking so obvious and wistfully.
-
Dreams cocoa-brown eyes smiled. "A friend would be nice," she reflected.
-
ooc: sorry I haven't been on in so long!
ic: Dawn allowed herself a small light of hope but then she asked Dream curiously, "Where's your herd?" For she had thought morning and herself were the only herdless ones.
