  • "What does it look like in front of you Flick?" she teased, l;aughing. Her muscles were getting tired, but hey, at least her fur was much more drier than before.

  • Flick rolled his eyes playfully as the trudged on up the hill, and stopped at the edge of it to catch his breath. His breaths were raspy at first, but smoothed out a bit and became less frequent as they had been before.

  • She trudged after him, keeping her pace steady so her muscles will get used slowly to the endurance she is trying to use. "Almost there," she mewed, continuing before passing him. "Tired?" joked Rosalind.

  • "What can I say? I'm a big man. A big, big man. I don't have as much stamina as you do, princess," he said plainly, a hint of amusement tucked in his tone. He trudged up the hill slowly, muscles burning from his run. Then, once at the top, flopped himself onto the ground and flicked his tail nonchalantly as he stared up at the dark sky, with the only light cascading down from the silvery stars.

  • "Does that mean you are fat?" she questioned in an innocent voice, continuing before reaching the top. Rosalind sat down next to Flick, and then rolled onto her back, letting her eyes have the beautiful views of the stars. They were really big up here, and the taller surface they can go to, then the stars will little by little appear larger. "Whoa.." she breathed out, awestruck.

  • "Do I look fat to you?" Flick inquired playfully, patting his stomach imagining it round with plenty of food. He rolled onto his back and stared up at the stars as well, purring at their beautiful gleam. "Beautiful, aren't they?" the tom asked, his gaze turning over to Rosalind.

  • She was slightly gaping at the stars, lost in thought from it. She snapped out from a moment of nowhere inside her mind, hearing the last question from Flick. "Huh? Oh! Yeah, they are," she purred, returning a bigger smile. "It's so bright Flick. I never seen a star this close too."

  • Flick smiled and gave a light, "Mhmm," before he was interrupted by a comet shooting across the sky. He gasped loudly, and batted at the figure miles away with his paw and looked at Rosalind with bright green eyes. "Make a wish." Then, he closed his eyes and made his own. I wish I could teach Rosalind how to swim. he thought, but deeper down, he was thinking something else, something he could not quite identify yet.

  • She was busy looking at Flick before catching the wonderful sight of the shooting star. She gaped, much wider. "That's a falling star!" she exclaimed in shock, at what she had seen. Rosalind looked over to Flick, only to see him closing his eyes. She did so as well, relaxing herself as she tried to picked one thing out of all the others to wish for. One wish...

She blushed a bit, and her mind seemed to tremble. I wish Flick could know my feelings toward him.

It sounded lame, but that is what she wished for. She opened one eye, continuing to then stare at the motionless star, and exhaled.

  • [ He's my confused little man <3 ]

Flick had no idea that Rosalind's wish had been his wish as well, but it was odd. He couldn't fathom these feelings, could not put a paw on his fluttering heart, or why he was a bit nervous to talk to Rosalind sometimes. It was odd, and so he had focused on swimming, when deep down he had wished the exact same thing. I wish I could tell Rosalind... he thought with a contented sigh and looked up at the stars radiating small amounts of light down on the two cats.

  • She then opened her other eye, looking at Flick, with a different feeling in her eyes rather than friendly. It was not a negative tone, but something else. "What was your wish?" asked the small cat after some seconds of silence. Inside, her stomach was squirming with butterflies. She felt so so so weird.

    OOC:|: Aww.^^ He's a cool cat, lol.

  • He flipped over startled at her voice since he was lost so deep in thought staring at those bright stars. He looked down into her beautiful face, and blinked for a second, lost in her. Then he shook himself and pulled himself together. "M-My wish? Uhm..." then, he glanced curiously around him, before his old self came back. A smile appeared on his face. "If I tell you, it won't come true."

  • She pretend to look disappointed. "Ah, oh well," she said in a pretending defeated voice, staring back at the stars. If he had asked, she would not have told him as well. To her, she cannot muster up the courage to do so. It is just like a boy-girl problem. Had her parents even tell each other they love each other?

"I wish another star would come," she admitted. That was not her wish, but she wondered if Flick would think it was the wish she made when the shooting star came.

  • A cool breeze rustled over the hill, and instictively Flick inched closer to Rosalind. When he realized it, he felt his ears heat up, and turned to the sky. He looked up shamefully. It doesn't have to get awkward Flick. She's your friend, and you don't have too many of those these days, he told himself, before looking back at her with an unsure smile. "Me too. There are a million things I could wish for right now."

  • She didn't catch the tom moving closer to her. She was busy listening to him. And that breeze caused her to shiver, and Rosalind, without knowing, was moving closer toward him. His pelt was warm, she noticed, and she felt more like a kit, even if she did not know what she did. "Like what?" she whispered, looking at his face.

    He seemed much more closer.

  • Flick felt her pelt against his, and looked away to hide a blush. His gaze flickered from her face to the clear sky, and back again. His paws fumbled with the grasses that lay in their reach, shredding it nervously. A few words slipped from his mouth without him thinking, and he regretted it after they were said. "A mate, I guess. I don't really have anyone to say I "love" except for my family -- but not too many of them are around now. I don't have many friends because I'm too job-oriented," he replied.

  • Roslaind did not catch the nervous tension from Flick. She was not good at predicting how others are feeling. She rested her head on his neck, looking up at him. "A mate?" she repeated, almost stuttering those words in shock. Which cats could he wish they were his mate? She blushed furiously. Don't think about that! she scolded herself inside. She did not know what to say at first. "Am I one of your friends?" she asked. Lame question.

  • His heart flustered inside of his chest when he saw her head resting against him. His stomach flipped inside. What's happening? he asked himself, refusing to break his gaze with Rosalind. "Of course you're my friend," he purred softly. Probably the only one I have.

  • [font=georgia]"The most important friend that you have?" she purred with a a grin. To her, he was more special than that, and it was hard to explain inside her heart. Never had she felt this before, she she again blushed. Could he see her blush? Rosalind hoped not. "Cause you're my third friend." The third friend she made right now in her life.

  • "Yeah, and the only. But you'd still be the most important anyway," he said rather guiltily. Until he'd met Rosalind, there was not much to live for except fulfill the job he had felt like would please his father if he were here. Oh how me missed Scythe so much, but that was the last thing on his mind now. Rosalind made him nearly forget that, she made him feel alive again and full of life. "Who's your other friends?"
