    Aaron helped feed the horses before they were about to leave, it was burning hot outside from the drought. He took off his hat and wiped the sweat off his forehead and placed the old hat on his dusty blonde hair

    13 year old Alexandra Pratt adjusted her bonnet as she ran to catch her father. She hiked up her many layers of skirts higher than what would've been "appropriate" for her mother and any other girl in her era. "Are we almost ready to leave, Papa?" He smiled as he looked down at Alex. Papa was a burly man who had worked most of his life. He was tall with sandy blonde hair, bleched by the hot sun. His green eyes sparkled when he was excited or up to one of his tricks. "Almost, Sunny," He walked to the wagon, tossing the sack of cold biscuts on with a *smack*!! Alex ran to find her sister and her Mama.

    Tory walked out of the barn and looked out at the farm. She was going to miss this place. Her auburn hair swayed in the slight breeze. She lead her horse out of the barn and mounted. She had been born on the farm and she had been reluctant to leave. Giving on final sigh she spurred her horse and walked out into the corn fields.

    Aaron harnessed up the 2 mares Patty and flutter. He was 15 with messy blonde hair and sun tanned skin. His dad was a hard man always rough on him and his mother. His father growled "Aaron!!! Make sure you put that harness on right or your gonna get it" Aaron rolled his eyes and led the horses out of the falling apart shed. The droughts and dust storms made where they lived miserable. There was dust everywhere.
