  • Clementine felt herself blush, as she hadn't even had the slightest thought to do that. "And does the land look as good as it used to?" Even after living in the new land for some time, Clementine still found herself missing the old land.

  • "It's alright, nice and big enough for all of the tribe," Rushingstorm said. A slight tone in his voice hinted that he preferred their old home. He had been born there and it had been all he had known for a while until they were run out.

  • Clementine nodded. "I'm sure we'll get used to it eventually." She said, trying to look at the glass as half full, rather than half empty. "But still... it's just different."

  • "Yeah, I'm sure we will," Rushingstorm agreed, "But it will never be like our old home. That and we both know that our home is practically gone." With new cats moved in their old home was not theirs any more. "But anyways. What have you been up too?" he asked.

  • Clementine sighed longingly, remembering the days before they moved into Sunclan's lands, before the Tribe changed homes, back when everything was normal. "I was just hanging around when that Soulreaper guy came and said that we were going to fight with the CometTribe or something. But I stayed behind... I didn't feel like fighting." Without you. Clementine finished silently.

  • "I didn't know about a fight. Why is the tribe so keen on fighting," Rushingstorm meowed. It had been a fight that had driven them out in the first place. "I'm glad you didn't go though. I would've been worried about you," he said.

  • "Ditto." Clementine said with a slight smile. "Besides, I'm really getting tired of it... why can't we just be a peaceful Tribe?"

  • "I don't know. Maybe Elixor is just battle hungry or something," Rushingstorm meowed. He hadn't heard of any other groups be this eager for battle. Maybe he was just missing something. He noticed it more in the tribe he supposed because he was part of it.

  • "I suppose." Clementine answered shortly, suppressing a short sigh. "Oh, and I also got an apprentice while you were away!" The tortie's eyes lit up to show her enthusiasm - who cared if she didn't even know his name?

  • "Really, that's great. I'm sure you'll do a great job teaching him uh her?" Rushingstorm meowed, "Who is your apprentice?" He knew a few of the cats in the tribe well but not all of them by name. He wondered if it was one he knew.

  • Clementine felt herself blush. "Well, it's a he. And I don't really know his name - he's a Death Prider. Apparently Elixor wanted the Death Pride apprentices to get some Tribe mentors while they're staying here. So I got some tom - he never said his name though. And before we could even train, they went to battle." The tortie rolled her eyes. "I told 'em not to go, since they didn't know fox dung about fighting, but they didn't listen." Clementine took a deep breath after finishing her short story.

  • Rushingstorm chuckled. "Sounds like he's plenty eager but if he's too eager-," he started. He stopped part way through. If he was too eager and didn't want to train before he ran off he might be a goner. He hadn't heard about Death Pride staying with the tribe though. "How long are the Death Pride cats staying?" he asked.

  • Clementine rolled her eyes in a grim sort of amusement. "I already told him he'd probably die. He went anyways." She shrugged in a nonchalant way, glad to have no ties to anyone other than Rushingstorm. "As for Death Pride... I really don't know. Hopefully not long, though."

  • "Well at least you know what he's like already. He's going to be a pawful for you," Rushingstorm meowed, "That'd be nice if they didn't stay for too long." It was strange to have another group of cats in their camp when they were not part of the tribe. It would make camp a lot more crowded.

  • "Yeah... at least he's not boring though." Clementine said with a slight shrug. You really couldn't pick your apprentices. "Did you see anything interesting in the territory? Like, I dunno, a training area? Or a stream?"

  • "There was a lot of territory but I recall seeing a stream and a pond somewhere. There are a few open areas that would be good for training. Probably the valley would be best for that, not too over grown there," Rushingstorm meowed.

  • "Would you mind taking me there?" Clementine asked. "To the pond area - I've always loved water." The tortie smiled sweetly, staring at Rushingstorm with her wide amber eyes.

  • Rushingstorm smiled. "Sure, it's that way," he meowed indicating with his tail. She looked so pretty and he loved seeing her smile. He flicked her with his tail then walked towards the pond but made sure she was following.

  • "Yay!" Clementine purred, bounding after Rushingstorm, happiness etched onto her face. "Thankies." Even though she had a Death Pride apprentice whose name she couldn't even remember, Clementine still wanted to be the best mentor possible, and to do that, she had to know the entire territory.

  • "Your welcome," Rushingstorm meowed. He grinned at her then lead the way. It wasn't close yet it wasn't too far away either. Soon enough a small pond came into view with a stream running into it. "That's it," he meowed, "The steam flows in from past our boarders."
