Mixed Emotions (Diamondkit's family, open)

Conquestkit wasn't sure if Echokit's remark was aimed at him or not but he ignored it. She didn't know him either, nobody here did.

"I was so weak.. I and Orchidblood thought I was going to die.. Im surprised I could give birth to such healthy kits.. " Eastpaw hoped they were healthy. They did seem smaller and not as strong as other kits by now, but they still seemed they were doing good.

Echokit vrowned, "Conquestkit, come back over.. Please?"

Conquestkit shot a quick glance to Echokit, why did she want him to come over? He dind't question it though and silently walked a few steps closer, though there was still some distance between him and the family.

"Surprised?" repeated Letterkit, his eyes wide. "But mom.. you're like.. awesome!"

Echokit vrowned at Conquestkit. She was getting the vibe he didnt like her very much.

Eastpaw blinked in surprise, but she loved the praise. "Oh, yeah? Why do you say that hunny?"

"Cuz.. cuz.." meowed Letterkit, trying to find a reason. What other reason would there be, aside from that she was their mother? "Cuz.. I can't have kits, but you can! See, that's awesome." He nodded vigorously, as if to prove his point.

Echokit burst into laughter at Letterkit's reply. "Oh but your not a she-cat Letterkit!! Only she-cats can have kits! Which makes us better than you toms!!"

Eastpaw would deal with that situation in a minute. "Whats up Diamondkit? You seem more serious then your siblings.. Are you okay?"

Letterkit glared at Echokit, before Diamondkit caught his attention. From her face, she could tell she was going to start asking questions. But the way she spoke was suspicious, and he didn't want her to give them away.

The tom looked shocked at Echokit's reply. His face fell deeply, cut quite deep. "She-cats better than toms? I hardly think so—how is it that a she-cat has kits if not for a tom?" He questioned, turning towards Eastpaw. It was, perhaps, the first time in a long time that he heard a she-cat make herself sound superior. It was just unfortunate it was Echokit.

His tail twitched with irritation. Hawktalon hadn't realised Eastpaw was raising their kits to be sexist. With a snort, he backed up, nearly bumping into Conquestkit. However, he stopped himself just in time. His aqua eyes were misty. "I think... I need to get out of camp for a bit. I need to clear my head. I'm sorry"

OOC; Sorry, but I find sexism quite offensive, and so does Hawktalon.

Echokit vrowned and tilted her head. Was it something she said?? She had been the one sticking up vor Hawktalon a moment ago. And now he seemed upset with her.. She velt bad. Everyone was getting upset with her!

Eastpaw vrowned, "Echokit! She-cats are not better! Say you are sorry to Letterkit! And Hawktalon, cuz it seemed to have hurt him. Say sorry!"

Echokit vrowned and vidgeted her paws. "Oh.. Im sorry Letterkit.."

Conqueskit watched Echokit forwn. Was there no pleasing her? He had come closer. And then a tension quickly grew and he was nearly trampled by the tom. He skittered to the side so as to avoid that happening. He tried to listen to everything that was going on, from echokit to Hawktalon and everyone between the two. He was intrigued by Diamonkit's question though, they didn't know their father?

Eastpaw tilted her head in convusion. This would have never come up iv Orchidblood hadnt said such things.. But what was done was done. "Why on earth do you want to know that? That tom is not your vather. I will never ever think ov him that way."

Conquestkit's ear flicked, Diamondkit seemed quite... mature. Quite intellectual. He was surprised by the way she spoke conpared to the others. It interested him but not enough for him to talk to her or anything. As usual he jsut listened.

"But why??!" Eastpaw asked stricken. "Am I not enough??? That cat should not be labeled vather at all! Hes a beast! Vine! Whatever! His damn name is Mythstare iv I recall right.. I am ashamed at myselv vor remembering! I dont know anything else about him!!" She blocked him out ov her mind and did not want to think about that terrible tom. "Now never mention him to me again!!!" Tears swelling vrom her eyes the still young she-cat darted away. Why did her kits want to know about Mythstare? The only possible reason was cuz they werent satisvied with herselv. She had velt terrible! Why didnt her kits love and think about her?
