    "No, no, no," Evan whispered, his eyes wide and glistening as he saw the amulet crumble. "No, no, oh h*ll no," he said, shaking his head and backing up. "H..how could you Chris?" he asked, horrified.

    As the amulet began to crack a little more, painful screams rang out around the factory yet again as Suki felt pain hit her, knowing that the assassin must have started to break her amulet.

    Chris stood up. 'I.... I can't stay here anymore.' He thought. He shot the window and leaped out, running as far away as he could.

    Alex gasped as Chris left. What was going on? She was so confused. "Chris!" she finally choked out, running towards the window.


    Evan grabbed the amulet. What could he do? Think! Think! he told himself. Suddenly the phrase an eye for an eye popped into his head. What about a life for a life? His hand suddenly shot out and grabbed one of the assasins. He didn't know exactly what to do, but he had an idea.

    Alexandria stood at the window and grabbed a piece of glass off the floor, her eyes clouded over with hurt as she watched Chris leave. She fingered the piece of glass. No one had ever stayed in her life, why should he?

    But before Evan could do anything more, the amulet burst into tiny shards, a blue fire hovering where the amulet once was. After a moment it slowly floated away, towards where Suki used to be screaming, as it tried to find another object to make its home in. What it found was a sword; a very well-preserved sword that was supposed to be a decoration on the wall, with a black handle and a black sheath. Touching the sword's silver blade, it sunk into the blade and made the entire sword glow blue before the sword returned to normal. 'Check on Suki,' a voice, almost like a child's, rang in Evan's ears. 'Check on her, and see if she's still breathing.'

    Alex looked up at the boy, she had a tear running down her face. "Chris?" she asked, her brow furrowed as she saw him getting closer.


    Evan nodded, and stood up from his kneeling postion. He grabbed the sword off the wall for no particular reason, then went racing down the hall and towards the secret room. "Suki?" he asked, looking around.

    Leaning on the wall in a sitting position, Suki looked up at Evan as he entered, her left eye now visible (it's not normally visible because of her bangs). Her left eye was burning a fiery blue, much more than her right eye was. "Hello Evan." she said casually. "Where's my life source?"

    Chris let her go and checked on Justin, breathing a sigh of relief. "Justin's lucky, if it was to the left more it would've punctured something. But in other words he's ok." He said.

    Evan looked at her, a bit bewildered. She had almost died, she probably had been dead for a few seconds. "Here," he said, handing her the sword. He cocked his head to the side a bit and narrowed his eyes. Something seemed....different.


    Alex looked at Chris concerned. "You should really have that cut checked out," she said, her brow furrowed again.

    Suki grinned and took the sword, unsheathing it and looking at the silver blade. "Yay! A new toy that has my life in it!" she giggled. "How fun!"

    Chris took off his t-shirt and used it to bandage up Justin. "Not til after Jiustin gets looked at." He said.

    "You're hurt too!" Alex protested.


    Evan grinned and raised an eyebrow. "C'mon, we better go make sure everyone's okay," he said, thinking of Justin.

    Suki nodded and stood up, attaching the sheath to her belt just before she walked beside her friend down the hall. "So, what happened exactly?" she asked him, allowing her bangs to fall over her left, fiery eye.

    Evan smiled. "Well, we rescued you, I brought you to that hidden room and then we fought the intruders, but the leader smashed your amulet right before he died," Evan said, giving her a quick recap. "Then, this blue light think came out and went into that sword," he said, gesturing to it.
